The bag does not come filled. If you want the bag to be lighter, you can stuff it with clothing, towels, whatever. If you want to put some weight into it and have a more solid response, whole corn would work also. You can put up to 70# of corn or other things in it. So far, we like it.

My grandson has seemingly endless energy. He's in school all day and extracurricular activities, but he never seems to tire out. We started out with one of those inflatable bags for him and he really liked it, but it just didn't hold up to the repetitive punches and kicks. This bag is more durable, and you can choose your own filler. It comes with chains for hanging and includes gloves. You can start using it right away without fear of causing injury to your child's hands.
