About this item

  • LARGE PACK 33.8oz - Will Intall x2 Posts | Replaces 80-100 lbs Concrete
  • QUICK & STRONG CONCRETE ALTERNATIVE - Postsaver Pro-Set Post Fixing Foam is a rigid post setting foam that's 97% lighter than concrete & 100% laterally as strong. It's a convenient substitute to traditional concrete post mix, making installation a lot easier with no water required.
  • EASY TO USE - Simply shake this fence post foam in the bag for 60 seconds & pour around the post in the hole. No water needed! In 3-5 minutes, it'll start to expand & harden until it reaches its full load strength in 90 minutes. Easily cut excess away or backfill during expansion to prevent foam egress.
  • STRONG POSTS - This post fix concrete foam provides equal performance to concrete post mix. Posts set with Pro-Set are able to withstand high winds and exceed the lateral strength of concrete post mix.
  • LIGHTER & MORE ECO-FRIENDLY - One pack of Pro-Set expanding foam post mix installs 2 posts (when using a fencing spade). Save energy, time & cost (eg transportation/delivery cost for heavy concrete) with Postsaver Pro-Set! Plus, it's more eco-friendly due to far less CO2 being produced during manufacture than concrete.
  • 26 YEARS OF INNOVATION & HERITAGE - Founded on years of extensive developement and testing, Postsaver is committed to creating premium products that make fencing easier, faster, and longer-lasting, ensuring long-life posts & hassle-free installation + maintenance.

Product Description

Postsaver Pro-Set Fence Post Mix and Concrete Alternative
Lightweight post concrete alternative
Expanding Composite Footing Compound
Fence Post Backfill
Expanding Composite fence post foam reviews
No water, post setting compound
  • Pro-Set has the same lateral strength as standard fence post concrete

  • Pro-Set typically hardens in 5 minutes and reaches full strength in 90 minutes, however these times can vary with temperature

  • If you use a post hole digger to dig your hole then you can typically install two posts with one pack. If you're using a traditional spade to dig your hole then one pack will install one post.

  • No, Pro-Set doesn't require any water.

  • We recommend storing Pro-Set at 60°F – 70°F before use for optimal results. If it's colder than this range then it will take longer to expand, equally, if it's warmer than this range it will expand faster.

If you live in the south with loose soil, do not buy. I followed the direction and was initially impressed, the foam expanded like it should have and actually made a decently solid fence post. A week later I check the posts before finishing the fence and 6 of 10 posts were loose. Now I find myself having to take the post out, cut the foam off the post and reset it with concrete. So just stick with concrete, will last way longer.

I used this to mount a post in a ceramic pot as concrete was going to be too heavy and messy. The post was for a bird box. Worked perfectly though I needed to hold the post level for longer than expected as there was a lot of movement when the foam expanded. Good stuff for the job I had.

This post foam is a really good alternative to traditional post create. Very light and easy to use. We used it in a solar farm construction up in a field where transporting post create would have been laboursome. Also lack of a water source at the site would have been a challenge. In said that the delivery was delayed by over 1 week due to the courier service which was poor.

This didn't work for me. I mixed as advised on packaging banging against knee and tipping upside down back and forth, ensuring no longer than 60 seconds before pouring into hole, there was little reaction, I had to mix it with a stick when in post hole, it did eventually expand but unfortunately for me it did not hold either post stable. I think the hole for the post needs to be just the size of the post and very deep, then it may hold firm. I bought this hoping to save time and energy, unfortunately back to concrete and doing the job twice instead of once, and of course the waste of money ....

Used the product to reinstall a washing line that, over a period of years, had become very loose in a wet lawn. Dug the old base out and, using this product, reinstalled it. The washing line is now vertical and extremely stable. For my particular needs, the bag was probably a little too big and the resin bubbled up out of the hole and dried. For something deeper, like a fence post, the bag size would be ideal. However, it was extremely easy to saw the surplus off flat and then cover it with a thin layer of earth to make to make it a tidy job.

Absolutely terrible avoid! The video in the sales pitch here sold this to me showing a man swinging off the post. Well I had posts like that installed by a seasoned professional and asked them to use this. They sneered at me saying it was a bad idea but I said no the reviews and video look great. They used it as per instructions. It was awful. The foam cot I use to expand for ages it pushes them off straight so my oh have to hold them in place with a jig for hours til it sets then even with solid ground round it packed down next to other post contrete which holds solid these can be wiggled easily by an infant. Absolutely useless waste of money.I’ve pulled them all out now (with ease) and replacing with old fashioned post Crete. Which has worked a treat at a quarter of the cost.I told the seller and they sent me an insulting and rude response saying I’d not used it correctly. If I needed any more industrial technique to install it then I’d suggest this should be marketed for professional use only not in amazon!!Rude obnoxious and daylight robbery.Avoid this stuff, stick with post Crete. Don’t get ripped off like I did :-(
