It makes running the line easy. I used this to set a straight line for new pavers in my flower beds, which worked great. Once I was done, I could just roll up the line for another project.

Living on several acres I routinely use a string line for a variety of projects from fencing to constructing outbuildings but it is quite cumbersome having to wind the string back onto a basic spool after each use so I ordered this Mason String Line and Reel which makes rewinding the string line much easier and faster. I really like the florescent orange color as well.

The quality of the line is pretty good. But it's hard to justify the price charged. The reel is of nice quality as well, but still hardly justify the difference to alternatives at a fraction of its price.

The string I’m using now is wrapped around a 2 by 4 so this is luxury having this . I use this for setting fence posts ,saves a lot of time and when I’m done it just winds up again with a handle that pops out so feeling spoiled and I look a lot more professional doing jobs. String is top quality and doesn’t get tangled up
