These work great for learning short staff forms indoors.We use these with partner drills and on punching bags.The thin case protects the foam from tearing in transport.I would not use these against a hardwood weapon.The light weight of this weapon allows students to improve their techniques before adding a heavier staff.My group bought nine of these and the only issue thus far is the unprotected end, we no longer strike each other in the head or face. 😁
