Great product does exactly what it needs to be. I'm using it put on the other end of the exhaust vent that's going outside so I can close it down and keep the cold air out

I had to get several different ones of these (trial and error) when I got my first laser. All did not seal right when opened to extract smoke on edges. This one works great. I can close gate to outside to keep critters out of my shop and open when smoke extractor is on.

I installed this in the garage to use with a portable A/C so I could exhaust hot air, the unit does not have a way to mount to a wall, probably not supposed to be used how I ended up using it but the gate functions well, stays open by itself.

I am inclined to make my own blast gates, I needed one when too busy to make and took a chance on these. They look kind of cheap but operate quite well. If and ONLY if you lop off the back of the gate so it is exposed. When you do this it will prevent inevitable clogs. You can seal the cut off with a flap if you think it is needed.
