Introducing the 4 to 2.25 Reducer Dust Collector Adapter by POWERTEC.
This handy attachment was intended to provide you a high quality solution to reducing your 4 inch dust collection hose to 2-1/4 inches. Doing so not only produces an increase in airflow and velocity, but helps eliminate unnecessary and time consuming clogs for your shop vac connections. In addition to the tapered “press-on-to-fit” design, the smaller end of the connector gives you a convenient adapter that fits into most common sized 2-1/4” ID ports – ideal for table saws, router tables, sanders, jointers, planers and other dust collection tools. Please Note: The 2-1/4” OD end will work with some 2-1/2” OD adapters that have 2-1/4” ID openings.

I bought a Hercules power planer and needed an adapter for connecting my shop-vac to the planer's dust port. I tried one adapter that turned out to be too large for the vacuum port. This Powertec adapter fits like a glove.

I didn't realize that most of the hoses and nozzles I have are actually 2.25, not 2.5.Should've bought this first.

The tapered end fits shop vac hoses inserting well however rather than inserting or fitting over a 4 inch power tool dust exit it is identical in size and will have to be a taped connection

I bought it to connect my table saw to my 4" dust collection system. It works as pictured. The other adapter is a 4" OD for the hose side and a 4" ID to connect to this piece. I did lightly sand the outside and edge of this piece to loosen the fit slightly for easy removal of the hose adapter.

The gauge of the plastic is a bit thin, but the small end fits in a shopsmith dust collection system just fine! The larger end didn't fit the 4 inch pipe I was going to use, but with a bit of thinking I could make it fit. Overall, not a bad product. Even the thickness isn't an issue since it's not a high suction system.

These tapered adapters solved my problem of adapting different size vacuum connections to the same dust collector and/or shop vac. I was initially putting together different pieces of pvc or other connections to make it work. This took all that hassle away and most fit by friction without a clamp. Much cleaner connections and not a noticeable loss of suction to my dust collector. They are also solid material and have not had any crack.

Tiene buen precio pero se limita a conectores o mangueras que no siempre se encuentran en el mercado mexicano por lo que debes importar o adaptar las conexiones necesarias para que te funcione, sin embargo esta muy bien hecho y sobre todo resistente.
