The seat itself is small , but its what i ordered so fine. Cons: the toilet paper roll keeps coming off. The clip is cheap. The seat doesn't stay on the 5 gallon bucket very well. If the bucket tips the seat comes off to easy IMO. Once you close the lid. It's hard to open the lid. You have to use 2 hands to separate the lid from the seat. Something i don't want to do especially if the person before me closed the lid. Would not buy again. Just spend the money and buy a better one.

I bought this as a prop for a talk about disaster preparedness during hurricane season… because alternative bathroom education is a delicate topic that many avoid. I placed this seat atop a plastic bag-lined 5 gallon bucket & said, “Let’s talk toilet.” Having a seat to sit on is invaluable, especially for elders who need an easy to use, comfortable, stable design, and this is just right - and affordable. It’s easy to clean & stores in its own bag, and is quite portable if you need to take it with you.

This is pretty comfortable, I didn't feel unstable, and the seat seemed sturdy enough so I didn't worry about it breaking. The seat didn't fit one of my buckets (odd size?) but it fit my Lowes bucket so it most likely will fit most buckets. These are great to have in case something goes wrong with your plumbing. My sister has a problem every 4-5 years during spring thaw if she gets a lot of rain while the ground is still frozen her leach field doesn't drain fast enough and her septic can back up. Under those conditions anything she can do to minimize the amount of water going into her septic tank helps and something like this is great because you don't want to be flushing human waste when there's a good chance it will back up so using this with a bucket eliminates a potentially nasty problem, Of course these are great for rough camping or if you're doing bathroom construction. It's a good idea to get a bag cedar chips from a pet store and toss a handful in the bag with your #2 to absorb moisture and smell and make the package more stable.

Great porta-a-potty. Just drop it on a 5 Gal bucket and do your thing in comfort. Easy clean up, and quite useful in the wild.
