The light itself is easy to operate with 2 small buttons on the pointed side of the light. No long presses needed; only short press functions will do. One turns the light on, then cycles through the color temperatures, while the other selects the brightness. It's nothing fancy and it doesn't need to be.My concern is with the plastic mount pieces. You receive 2 of them (one for a side mount and the other on top by the gimbal). The one for the top arrived broken, as the thin plastic piece that opens and closes around the gimbal was severed. If it were not broken, I would certainly question its longevity. As for the other piece, it's built much better but impedes the way you hold the camera handle.The light itself is good though, and I will probably try to salvage the magnets from the broken top piece to make my own mounting solution. Prior to this, I just use a headlamp when filming in the dark. I do like the idea of having a small magnetic fill light though and hope to jerry rig this to work.
