I recently ran a junction box to the far end of my yard where I have a 15amp breaker, outlet and power for yard lights that go around the fence and an ATS for a battery backup. While it probably wasn't necessary, I chose to run a grounding rod to save myself any potential headaches down the road. Given the crazy weather we've been having lately, I'm glad that I did because we had a pretty bad power surge a few weeks ago that caused a power outage. We happen to be in the backyard at the time and aside from everything going out in the house, we still had perimeter lighting. So we just kept on having cocktails and lit the fire pit!

It was just what I was looking for! I use it to add a temporary earth ground to portable gas generators.

The flexible bonding wire and copper clip make it easy to use and securely attach to electrical systems. It’s durable, reliable, and effective for preventing electrical surges and ensuring safety. I’ve used it on several projects, and it has held up well. A must-have for portable generators.

The only real shortcoming this has is the length of the cable. This may not be for most people, but I need one that is at least a foot longer, and maybe two. The rod is supposed to be staked at least 24 inches away from structure. That only gives you two feet to work with. If you are grounding something that is elevated like the TV antenna that I have mounted on a fence post, it doesn't give you enough to work with. Keep that in mind when purchasing.

Liked the heavy duty quality and non oxidized appearance. Able to pound into soil and remove as needed.

This review is for the Portable Grounding Rod with 4Ft Long Flexible Bonding Wire with Copper Clip.So I grabbed this to use with an electric fence charger, I thought the rod itself was 4 foot long. OOps, my bad LOL. So instead I'll save it to use with my portable big generator as it really needs to be longer for the fence, so I'm told.So this is a solid steel core with the copper plating on the outside, the flexible wire attaches well and has a spring clamp. It should be strong enough with the steel core to and eyelet end to pound into the ground, as long as it's not rock hard. Maybe wet the ground to softeen it up if needed. This would work if you were camping off grid and had a solar/battery powered electric fence charger to set up a safety perimeter fence or to contain your horses if riding in too.Regular price $26.90 per the listing. I must say it might be a bit high. Watch for a sale/coupon, browse other listings... I note a good deal on a set of 3 that are 4 feet long. Those are what I need for the fence. As always I only do honest reviews and update if needed. I hope this helps you make the best choices how to spend your $.
