Admittedly, I’m one of those weirdos that spend way too much time reading reviews before I make a purchase. When I was looking for one of these rollers, I was disappointed by all of the negative reviews that I read for other products, so settled on this one as it seemed to have the highest ratings.I’m very happy with my purchase. I’ve had my security roller for about 2 months now, and while I don’t use it all the time, I use it often enough to say with confidence that it works great and was worth the money. I have a shredder, but honestly, it’s a pain to use and I usually end up putting all of my “to be shredded” papers in a pile and it gets so big that it’s then too overwhelming. This is such a great alternative. I keep it in my junk drawer at my kitchen island and use it as needed without having to worry about piles of paper adding up. The ink doesn’t seem to smear, and it really covers all of my sensitive info up. I wish that I would have purchased this years ago, but am glad that I found it now!

Better late than never! I was looking for refills and realized I hadn’t gotten around to reviewing this item. I bought it in April 2017 and am just about ready for a refill. We don’t use it daily necessarily but it does see a decent amount of use (who doesn’t get a lot of junk mail?). It works well on most papers, with the exception of glossy magazine covers. But I find if you let it dry for a while it’s much less likely to smudge. It does work beautifully for our purposes though. I’d rather obscure important info and be able to recycle than tear off things and have to shred (shredded paper isn’t recyclable around here). Actually I do have one small complaint- at $6.99 each and $17.69 for a 3 pack I do find the refills a bit overpriced. But overall I think the stamp it worth it and I’d recommend it.

I don't know what all the complaints are about the Guard Your ID Mini Roller Stamp because I have none. I normally shred most of my mail, but every now and then I have something that either the address label won't come off or it won't fit in the shredder. This turned out to be the perfect solution. Yes, it's small, but it's just the right size for most address labels. If you rub it right after you applied it, while the ink is still wet, yes it will smear off, but if you let it dry it's permanent and doesn't smear. One review said it wiped off in the rain, so after it had dried I tried wiping the smooth label on an Amazon bubble bag with a wet tissue and the ink was permanent and did not smear or wipe off. Personally I found it very convenient and easy to use and provides the security I wanted on items I can't easily shred.

I just got my Mini Roller Stamp and have already gone through a few hundred pieces of sensitive mail I've been meaning to shred. As mentioned previously, this will not sufficiently cover up laser-printed characters. But, for me, that's a tiny percentage of what I need to cover up. For the rest, this works perfectly. The roller design is far superior to the traditional stamper in my opinion, because it covers just what I need, thus preserving ink. Be sure to use it on a flat surface and keep at least one sheet of scrap paper underneath in case you press too hard. The ink will come through most standard bill/junk mail paper. One last thought: I was worried that this wouldn't be wide enough to provide ample coverage in a single pass, but it's just about the exact size of most of the address labels I've tried to cover up. Well done.

it covers up what needs to be covered...but at the end of the day the imperfection is out for the world to see. Most likely i touched it before it had completely dried... but I wasn't thinking about that when i was happily blocking out my addresses on all my amazon boxes, amazed at how well it hid all the letters and numbers on the label. I felt like i was back in kindergarden. As i was tossing my boxes in our complex's dumpster i noticed that the ink had rubbed off on a few of the boxes so my name and address was out there for the world to see. booooo.

Beats cutting and shredding personal documents in a paper shredder. Only down side it doesn't work well on glossy paper products. Other than that it's a good product, easy to use and easy to refill.
