These are nice sturdy brackets, and accessories, that are well built. The shelving part is rather thin, and might do better with a piece of plywood over it, to give it more support, if you want it to carry a heavy load. The brackets are study enough that they should be able to hold whatever you can manage to put on them.

The hooks can be attached or left off and you can position them where you want. You get two of these so you can either space them a part or put them on the wall so they are basically one longer shelf.If you do not have bicycles or already have hangers for them you don't have to put those on. These are smaller shelves but if you place them even a part you can get actual shelving and place on top which makes these even better for storage.You get a surprising number of hooks so you can really declutter the garage by hanging things up and out of the way. The hooks mostly hook on to the shelf adn are easy to move around or remove. Since they do not screw on or have special fasteners you just lift them off and hang them over the metal. They do come with a metal rod for additional hanging opportunity but that is optional to install. It depends on your setup and what you need to hang if anything.I do like that it comes with two of these shelves and it does allow for holding a lot of stuff. Though I would like the shelves to be wider front to back, though you can extend them by getting regular shelves and placing on top.These are nice quality and will last a long time.

The shelf itself is great and I love all the hooks. Price was reasonable. BUT the hardware sucks! No matter what I did, the screws would strip. Ended up taking much longer to install and a lot of frustration.

We ordered this to close out this year's spring-cleaning-garage-tidy-up. We had a couple of items that we wanted to put up and out of the way and having a shelf with a bunch of hooks to hang stuff from too was an added bonus.These shelves come well packed and with most of the items you will need to install. You can make the install easier on yourself if you have the following:* stud finder* cordless drill* long spirit level* 10mm socket wrenchThe set comes with a template which includes a level. I could not get the level to fit in the cut out of the template and my studs ended up being 19" apart. So the template was a nice touch, but I did not use it.You need to make sure you land both of the brackets on a wooden stud - if you don't then this thing will come straight off the wall when you load it up. Once you have found the studs and drilled six pilot holes the installation is plain sailing. The provided screws go into the studs best with a 10mm socket wrench. The hanging bar fits easily to the brackets and the shelf attaches to the brackets with the clips and provided bolts. The design is completely adjustable between 16 and 24 inches for both the hanging bar and the shelf.Once fully assembles thins thing isn't going anywhere. You get 10 movable hooks + 2 bike hooks. I'm not using it to hang bikes but it'll easily take the weight.The pack comes with spare hardware, which is a nice touch.If you are looking at buying this the single pack may be a little on the pricey side but the pack of two shelves is good value. 5 stars

My garage has plaster walls. My husband was not able to get the shelving unit up. I was really looking forward to the the extra storage being placed on the shelving. I was also very interested in hanging my kids bicycles up for the winter and getting them out of the elements. I have a 1-car garage and live in northern Illinois. I was planning on utilizing every feature and benefit this shelf had to offer. Looking for plan-b.

I should preface this review with the disclaimer that I’m not really a fan of mounting things on walls, but I don’t mind it too *terribly* much… it just isn’t my favorite. I don’t like using stud fingers, and I don’t like the potential of drilling into live wiring (lol). I bit the bullet, since I wanted to get these installed and give them a trial run.This kit comes with a confusing amount of accessories and hardware. DO NOT throw away the instructions, since you’ll need them to make sense of it all.it took me maybe an hour to get the shelf set up, and figure out how everything attaches. Once the drywall anchors are in (unless you are drilling into studs), and the thing is screwed in and braced to the wall—it’s solid. It will not be going anywhere.I only installed one, then decided to see how it performs.So far, absolutely zero issues—which is more than I can say for a lot of shelves I’ve put up over my lifetime.I have not put a substantial amount of weight on it, just used it for storage of miscellaneous boxes (and hanging some lighter things from the bottom)—but it still has not budged.I would definitely recommend these shelves based on this experience. I only got one up since I did not have a second space set up the the other one—but these shelves (in my opinion) would best be suited side-by-side to maximize potential storage space.For shelves this bulky, I’d say this is a great deal and a good price range.Overall? Even though they were a bit of a pain, I would definitely recommend these shelves to anyone. Thanks for reading. :o)
