I recently tried the Pet MD Topical Shampoo for my Aussie, and I really like the scent—definitely a 5 out of 5 stars as it smells like a tropical fruit punch to me. It smells better than our regular shampoo for sure. After my Aussie is dry, the scent is pleasant, without being overpowering. While this shampoo does a nice job of cleaning, I noticed that the viscosity and bubbles are less than what I'm used to. I prefer a thicker shampoo because it clings to my dog’s coat better and doesn't wash off as quickly. I'd rate the viscosity a 3 out of 5.In terms of bubbles and overall cleanliness, I’d give it a rating of 4 stars since I am used to a thicker shampoo that lathers longer. If it was thicker, it could easily replace our regular shampoo, as it leaves my dog smelling great while still providing a good clean.

This shampoo has been great for my dog. He has a short coat that needs to be washed comparatively often. He gets a bit of dandruff and sheds, which this shampoo takes care of nicely. It also has a pleasant smell. It lathers up well, and rinses off thoroughly. Highly recommended!

Warmer weather on the way, and that means back to weekly baths for my dog. She has struggled with skin that tends to harbor yeast flare-ups during warm, humid months, and this shampoo contains two ingredients suggested to address that issue (chlorhexidine and ketoconazole). No longer need to buy two separate products and combine them! Pleasant light cucumber-melon scent. I mix this approx 2 oz shampoo to 2 oz water in a squeeze bottle for easier application and no waste. It lathers nicely, but also rinses off quite well. Huge bonus: made in USA :-)

Smells great. Not nauseatingly strong like some dog shampoos. Lathers very well.Cons: agree with other reviewers — please change the label. It’s not waterproof and the dye runs a lot. The seal on the bottle came loose and spilled inside the package. The dye ran so much, I couldn’t read the label.

This shampoo contains ketoconazole, which is commonly used for fungal skin infections, and chlorhexidine, which has broad antimicrobial action. It’s likely to be suitable for a range of mild skin conditions, but is best used with the advice of a veterinarian – since some skin problems may not respond to these ingredients, or may be a sign of a more serious problem that can't be treated with shampoo. My only complaint with this formula includes added fragrance, which is not only an undesirable addition in a product intended for pets with already irritated skin, but which gives this a strong smell I personally find unpleasant. I will probably donate this to a local animal rescue and look for something with less of a scent.

Pet MD Topical ShampooThis has a non-irritating mild fragrance; the liquid consistency is average (not too runny but not thick).I use Chlorhexidine shampoo about 4-5 times per week on my dog’s skin folds, and paws, and once per week on his entire body.I ordered this Pet MD shampoo and their Wipes 5 times before this current review. I rotate between Pet MD and another brand which has 1% more Chlorhexidine.Overall, this shampoo is priced competitively, and good to use on my Frenchie.

Tested this on my Kangal—lathers up nice, rinses easy, and leaves his coat looking clean. The smell’s the real star, though—super fresh and lasts a bit. No soap or parabens, so it feels gentle too. Great pick for keeping my big guy smelling good

Opened and smelled this when it arrived. It smells really good! Like ‘people shampoo’ not dog shampoo.Gave my big guy his weekly shower last night w this. Lathered well and he smells so nice!I like the added ingredients. They’re the same as his other usual shampoo that I use as at times he has a bit of flaky skin- kind of a doggy dandruff and these ingredients in his shampoo help to get the flakes off. He’s solid black short coat so can easily see when he gets those dry skin flakes- he now looks and smells great!
