Gotta love a chain. It is one of the best methods of protecting a bike or scooter. I am a bicycle commuter doing 32 miles most days and mostly only trust chain locks. They do have the weakness of a angle grinder going thru them, but barring that this is pretty secure.This has some really nice features making it work better than most. The thick Nylon sleeving will protect the paint of the bike, There is a magnet in the lock so the chain stays in place when locking it up. The lock mechanism is nice and tight with no play or way to slip shims in, and the sleeve is captured well in rubber on both ends so unlike the cheaper ones which use a rivet these should not just break off with normal use.Chain really is the strongest way to protect your bike, it is heavy , but that weight is what you pay for the protection.

Great bike chain the only drawback is the weight. However if you don't mind the heft this thing will certainly deter the common thief.

It's pretty heavy so you're not likely to carry it with your backpack. But I like to keep in in my truck so if I stop into a shop or something I can lock the bike up securely. Very solid, would be quite hard to cut through.

It's arguable that this is even tougher than a U-lock because chains can't easily be frozen with low-temp Freon and cracked like U-Locks. The only way to defeat this lock is with a giant 4-foot bolt cutter.
