I don’t know what “dust flap” they’re talking about, but I expected extra material just inside the opening to protect the contents when it’s closed - it does not have that.

First things first. This bag is NOT waterproof despite what it says in the description. 'Water-repellent"? Maybe, "Splash resistant"? Perhaps. But definitely not Waterproof.For starters, it's a drawstring bag, so water would get in the top. Secondly it has poor single stitching and the seams aren't sealed. Thirdly tge fabric doesn't appear to have any waterproof treatment.It's just a cheaply made nylon drawstring bag.I used this to pack my inner tent in (for which it's a perfect size and it fits easily)The sewn in groundsheet was wet which is why I wanted to keep it separate in my pack, however by the time I got home a couple of hours later, everything in my pack was wet. The bag itself was soaked through in fact the driest thing in my pack was the inner tent itself due to the way that I'd folded and rolled it.It will still be useful as a spare bag for sleeping bags etc while the stitching lasts so long as I don't 'stuff it. But not as a waterproof bag which is what I wanted.
