The quality for the cost was not great at all. They were a thinner bowl. Very light in weight. The glaze was not put on them well. There were small air bubbles randomly on the bowls. Not what I was expecting, so I chose to return them.

My husband loves salads and always makes them in my serving bowls which drives me bonkers! When I saw these I knew they would be perfect! They are a great size and weight. I'm a little leery of them breaking but honestly they have been holding up well. No chips or cracks yet!

This stays cold for a while when chilled if you're using it as a salad plate. The quality of the glazing really stands out and design on the bottom of the plate gives it a unique look. What sets this apart from a regular salad plate is quality of the workmanship and the uniform shape of each plate. We even used it as a main dish plate as shown on the picture above. The size is perfect, and it stacks up nicely for storing it. The weight is somewhat heavy, compared to our regular salad plates that are branded, but then it is reflected on the price of the set.Aside from the weight when compared to other branded solid plates I really don't have anything negative to say about this set. As a matter of fact, I will recommend it for those. They're looking for something nice but cheaper than the branded ones. I just hope the glazing will last long with continued regular use. It's an easy five star due to the quality and price ratio of this set.

These Taeochiy Pasta Bowls are perfect or saucy meals like pasta, stews or casseroles. You get a set of 6-34 oz. white ceramic flat bowls with an elegant diamond pattern and should go well with most dinnerware. They are 2 inches deep and have rounded sides. They are advertised as dishwasher, microwave safe, oven, and freezer safe, but I've only used them in the microwave and dishwasher. hey are substantial, so they work well on the table without sliding or tipping. They are a little smaller than I wanted--I have 2 bowls that are 9 1/8" (42 oz.) with straight sides, and these are only 8 1/2" (34 oz)--but they are not longer made. These are an acceptable substitute, however.

These bowls are beautifully crafted, and the low profile is very appealing, as is the creamy white color and the hammered pattern along the sides and bottom. I like that the pattern is very consistent. Visually, my eyes prefer symmetry and consistency, and this pattern is very symmetrical and consistent. While the bowls are thick, especially toward the bottom, they are ceramic and do feel prone to chipping. If you drop one, I can guarantee they will shatter. I have some other plates by a well-known French manufacturer, am they're known for their durability and elegance. I've dropped them on the floor before and they've remained intact. I wouldn't guarantee such an assurance with these bowls. As aforementioned, they are beautiful and elegant, and make for a great table setting. Any food you put in them looks elevated and ultimately, as the saying goes, you eat with your eyes. The biggest gripe I have is how low profile they are (which is also a positive, visually speaking). They're really just plates with a larger than normal lip. They're quite flat, and I really don't see how you could eat soup or stews out of this. They're much more well suited for pasta dishes, rice dishes and casseroles. I got them hoping they would be versatile pasta bowls, and if you also have similar intentions, you might have to consider expanding your dish options beyond these bowls. I was also hoping I could hold them in one hand easily while using a utensil to eat from them, but as I mentioned above, they really are like plates and don't have that ergonomic quality like bowls do. Having said all that, they're an easy four star review. They serve their purpose and look great doing it, which is what I wanted more than anything.

I love this set of salad bowls. You could also use them for pasta! They are the perfect size for a perfect sized salad, a perfect portion of pasta, or anything else that you don't want sliding off your plate. These are large enough to actually hold a main course with two or three sides! You could use these and place of dinner plates just to keep things from falling off the edge of your plate. These are very versatile and functional for a variety of uses. They are easy to clean, very well-made. Excellent quality bowls. I would absolutely recommend these to anyone in the market for something like this.
