The headlight switch failed after a couple of tries. Amazon wanted the whole kit back, so I contacted Painless directly and they were more than happy to replace the faulty switch. I'm thinking it wasn't the first time this switch had failed as I read several complaints about them grounding out between detents. I can't complain though - Painless stood behind their product and so far the replacement hasn't had any problems.

Pieces just thrown in a plastic package, nothing securing each piece and no wrapping to protect. Cheap quality. Very sad for painless performance. Would never buy it again.

Does not come with the allen key to remove the knob and its a super tiny allen key that you will have to find…. In order to get the headlight switch through the dash Super annoying you would think they would include but they dont…

The retaining nut and knob on the headlight switch is plastic. I stripped the threads on it. The ignition switch is "sticky" to turn. Can't believe that Painless puts their name on it!! I have to replace them all. I called them to no avail.??

I used this set for my 1953 gmc truck and they are close to the original parts. I had to make a holder for the ignition switch into the dash and the head light switch was super similar to the factory one. The ignition switch seems to be good quality, easy to identify what studs on the back do what. The floor mounted dimmer switch wouldnt work for my application so I can't comment on that.The headlight switch seems ok other that the threaded mounting bolt that holds the switch to the dash. I was tightening mine up and it stripped the threads right off the bolt. It wasn't even remotely tight enough to call it good and use it. Need to contact the company and see if they will send me another or I will have to make another out of a better quality bolt.
