This U-channel is "a hair" smaller than I needed, but in the end it worked.I had crystal clear acrylic sheets with polished edges custom made with angled bases to match. I intended to use them for desktop clocks and framed fine art. The bases have a 5-degree angle to allow the backing board, photo paper and acrylic sheet to lean back slightly for better viewing on a desktop or shelf. My acrylic base openings have a nice tight fit with all three items inserted, but at the very top the three were not "flush together" (they appeared sloppy). After making the first product as a gift for a friend, that sloppy/floppy top nagged away at me. I then searched for months to find a solution, and although I believed that a 1/4" U-channel would be too loose, I purchased this product/size anyway. When I removed it from the packing box, I placed one piece over my acrylic sheet and backing board with photo (I hadn't cut it at that point), I wrote to the seller (Vladimir at Outwater Plastics) to ask about a smaller size. He said it wasn't available but said I could return the product at any time. I appreciated that while I pondered a solution after spending many hours trying to find the size I needed. I also appreciated that the product listing suggested using gardening shears rather than scissors to cut the channel (that was great advice).I put my "mad scientist" hat on and pondered for two weeks how to make this U-channel work. Since the BACK of the self-adhesive backing board would not be visible from the acrylic sheet on the front side (the photo was between the two), I purchased 1/8" two-sided adhesive dots (these are really tiny). I then cut the U-channel into a ONE-INCH piece after I had the photo on the backing board and the acrylic in front of it -- all three securely in the base. As suggested, I used a brand new pair of gardening shears, and it was a "perfectly clean" cut with no scratches.I then peeled off only ONE side of the dot so it would adhere to the U-channel, and it was perfect! I gave a finished piece to a friend with the top secured by my one-inch U-channel and tiny dot, and she said, "You really put a lot of thought into this!"I hope that I sell enough desktop clocks and framed photos so I can buy this product again. Although it is a departure from how most people would use a it, sometimes a little creativity goes a long way into making something work.

I have a coffee table with glass sides and it was scratching the floor. So very happy that finally I did find the plastic outwater that fits perfectly and save our floor. Good quality plastic, easy to cut and work with. Purchased some extra.
