I got these to replace an old porch ceiling light fixture original to my house. It was fairly straightforward to remove the old fixture and wire this into the existing electrical box. I did have to get a medallion to hide the rough opening cut into the porch's ceiling but that round trim, combined with the new fixture, instantly gave the front and updated look. I'm keeping the other fixture as a backup. Very pleased. Now I actually want to turn on the front porch light!

Mounting this light was awful! One of the screws that holds the light to the bracket wouldn’t come out no matter what we tried. We needed the screw bc the decorative bolts didn’t fit any other screws. Also couldn’t use a different bracket bc the screw spacing wasn’t the same and we needed the screw! Otherwise the light is fine. Light detector is a nice feature.

1. It took my husband 7 minutes to install. Granted, we had another one already because he was able to use the same bracket from our previous one.2. The chain is not super long. If you care about that. You can shorten it, however.3. The quality of the lamp itself is great. Medium weight glass and metal.4. It doesn’t come with bulbs. It requires smaller chandelier bulbs.5. It has a sensor on it that if you leave the light switch on, it will turn off in the daylight.6. The light is bright and warm at night.

This hanging lantern light is very classy. It matches a lot of different "styles". Easy to install. Good quality. Would recommend.

*** Update *** Finally installed it and wanted to share a couple things. First I bought the bulbs that was recommended in the bottom to buy with and found it they are not compatible. Rather you need E12 bulbs max 40w. Second, attached a picture of the chandelier to see where my husband had to make a notch at the base of the rings to hold the chain centered. Third, we’ve noticed that the paint flaked off easily on the DD piece but a simple marker touch up did the trick. You may want to use a rag to avoid this.This porch chandelier comes with a beautiful black finish with clear glass. It is compatible to either flat or sloped ceiling. Great functionality with the dusk to dawn automatic sensor. Adjustable heights for those higher porch ceiling is great! Almost a 5 star if they included the bulbs but I have to purchase separately.

I wish I had this product sooner! I now don't have to think about turning my porch light on in the evening, and turning it off before bed. Which also is a bit of an indicator of when people are active in my home. So I think this idea is stellar. It also solves the problem of shifting hours of sunset and time changes, should you have built in timer on your porch light anyways.Overall, super pleased! It looks fantastic, it is a great value for the quality of the product, it was easy for my husband to install. Great product!
