Not confident this will last long. As soon as I took it out the plastic and placed it over the outdoor faucet and pulled the string it disassembled and came apart. I put it back together and tried again. Being extremely careful and it worked. So note do not pull the string hard. I’m not confident that it will stay flushed against the bricks,one hard gust of wind and it’ll come off. However it’s aesthetically pleasing.

If you’ve ever had to wrap the pipes on your house to protect them from a winter freeze, these are great to have on hand to make the task easier. In my case, I wanted to replace the cloth and tape job I did on one particular Spicket. One thing to keep in mind though is that the cover must be deep enough. I had forgotten why I did not have one of these on this particular Spicket to begin with. It sticks out from the house too far. Since it does not fit this one, I have used this new one to replace an old one at a different location on my house. This new one appears to be made out of slightly better materials than my old one and should last a good long time to come.

I’ve picked-up this faucet cover to replace the existing cover that had become useless during the severe winter weather that we had in our area.The cover fits perfectly, but not sure how long the string will last in the severe weather (time will tell).I did attach the metal washer for inside the cover with hot melt as it was jut hanging loose when cover is attached to the faucet.

This is a good quality spigot cover. It fit perfectly over our outside spigot. If you live in a southern state, these are super helpful when the winter weather rolls around. It is well insulated and has a foam edge to help seal the insulation. The outside is hard. Super easy to install, takes just a second.

This is a good concept. However, it does not work for me. I have siding on my house behind where the faucet is located. The siding is layered and not flat, so when I put the faucet cover on the faucet there is a gap. The cover cannot “suction” to the siding allowing the cold air to still get to the faucet.

The faucet cover works well for insulating the spout during the winter mouths. It is easy to close around the sprout. The parts are made of durable material, and it provides a tight seal around the spout. It does not come off despite the strong winds.
