It enables you to check cylinder balance by firing individual injectors at 1/2-second increments in three different ranges: 1 pulse of 500 milliseconds, 50 pulses of 10 milliseconds, 100 pulses of 5 milliseconds. It worked well for me the first time I used it. The second time, it failed. I contacted OTC and they sent a free replacement. The warranty/replacement process was very "manual" (I had to call, exchange emails, follow up), but the tool was replaced within a reasonable timeframe.

Hooked ip to car as per instructions, 1 light lit up but wouldn't activate injector.Flimsy tool .

Be sure to NOT short the output (t-pins). With a fistful of adapters injector flow testing is easy if the fuel pressure can be instrumented. I use the SUR&R adapters.

My husband is extremely happy with this OTC Tester! He said it does everything it is supposed to do. It works very nice, it seems to be a very high quality, and it has already been an extremely helpful item for him! He was sad that it is made in China, but he said the quality seems to still be great for OTC. He does think that for the $100+ price, it should come in a case to keep it safe as it is a bit delicate to be loose in a toolbox drawer. I'll be looking online to see if I can find him something to put it in. Any ideas from the other buyers here?

Worked perfectly right out of the box. I saw a YouTube video which demonstrated the use of this exact tool. The most difficult part of the job was accessing the fuel rail in the car. I would recommend this tool to anyone that wants to check the pulse of each fuel injector and therefore positively diagnose a bad fuel injector.

This is an excellent tool for those who want to diagnose a defective fuel injector, or bench test a replacement prior to installation. Many times I found that replacement fuel injectors become stuck by sitting on the shelf at the parts store. Nothing worse than installing injector(s) on a vehicle, still having the same problem, going crazy thinking something else is wrong & wasting more time & money replacing other parts.... when all along you got burnt installing a bunk injector. For this reason, I ALWAYS bench test any injector I replace on a vehicle. Doing a job twice is no fun. This tool is very easy to use. Simply connect the power leads to a 12 volt car battery, hook up the injector, select the pulse width, and press the button. If the injector clicks, you know you're good to go! If it doesn't click, you likely have a stuck injector & you'll have to call the parts store to get another one.

OTC is need i say still quality stuff and this tester is no different. It has worked on every injector i have tested with it and the extra jumper wires are handy. Comes with 3 different pulses 1 5 and 100 i believe but don't quote me on that. at different millisec.

OTC is known as making quality equipment, and this tester is no exception. You can test your injectors at various pulse width settings and along with a fuel pressure gauge diagnose whether it is good or malfunctioning. It fits most injectors and for those that it doesn't fit, it comes with two leads that can plug onto the individual pins. I have had to deal directly with OTC for a warranty issue with another tool before, and their customer service is great. They shipped me a new tool and told me to discard the old one with no questions asked.
