I am overly happy with this purchase. It has proven to exceed my expectations. I love the stainless steel appearance and ease of using for our entire family. Designed with stability and ease of cleaning in mind. Pleased with how quiet, lightweight, and sturdy this can opener has remained. Stability is flawless. Sharpness of blade when opening my can goods is important and ideal when choosing. Bonus points for the bottle opener on this one. Unique feature to have handy and always easily accessible.

I actually bought a can opener that was slightly more expensive than this one. It only worked for approximately three months. This product for months now be it beans, canned vegetables, Shredded chicken or tuna fish consistently does its job which is all a consumer can ask… all we want as consumers is a product that works and consistently works perfectly. This product does just that… I’m very happy with it.

I received it yesterday and I made it a point to open two cans. The first can didn’t open right ... it shredded some of the paper off the can and half opened the can. The second can opened perfectly and no shreds . I love the way it looks and hope that it works perfectly from now on. Yes and the cord retracts perfectly .

I've been using this can opener for a month now. My son figured out how to operate it, so ease of use gets a big thumbs up. No issues with it, so far. Note that in shipping, the magnetic part is tucked under and has to be positioned before first use. Surface finish is holding up well and the appliance looks very sharp. Speaking of sharp, the knife sharpener is okay, but not great. Several passes were required to bring a fairly new knife back to fighting condition (the one on the knife block only took one pass). I have to say that I'm happy with this purchase

Francamente tiene muy buena calidad, en acabados y material de fabricación. Corta las latas rápidamente y sostiene la tapa y la lata, así que es automatizado el proceso sin riesgo a caerse, el destapador funciona muy bien y el afilador es cómodo y práctico. El producto es muy útil y cumple con todo lo que la descripción menciona, se nota que está muy bien construido y el tamaño me encantó, no es nada estorboso. Tuve unos cuantos problemas al intentar usarlo por primera vez, pero realmente era que yo hacia algo más, tuve que leer las instrucciones cuidadosamente para notar mi error. Tal vez deberían pensar en otro tipo de redacción en las instrucciones pues creo que no queda claro a la primera. Fuera de eso todo perfecto.

The Good:Price is OK, Stainless Steel finish is a plus. Looks nice on your counter. Push button retractable cord is great! Lever, Magnet & Cutter assembly can be removed for easy cleaning. Has a good weight to it so it does not easily tip over. Built-In bottle opener.The Bad:VERY DIFFICULT TO USE. Sometimes, the paper from the label can cause the little gear wheel to slip, resulting in your can not getting opened. Can may slip out & fall while it's opening, so you should hold can while it's opening.Other thoughts:Using this can opener requires patience & some amount of tech savvy. Do not buy this for grandmas, and people who have issues figuring things out. Also, Apple users should steer clear of this can opener at all costs! You have been warned.

Difficult to set can on roller wheel at correct angle -- integrated handle and blade are in the way. Once engaged, more often than not the spring-action cutter will not pierce the can. Just seems to skate along on top. Repeatedly lifting and pressing down the handle will most often get to finally pierce and start cutting, at which point you're homefree. It will finish cutting the can (loudly and slowly) and the powerful magnet does lift the lid off when you raise the handle to remove the can. But... getting it started is a pain. Liked to tear up paper around the outside, which I *think* contributes to the problem. I notice some complaints online mention that stripping cans of their labels first seems to help. ------- I called customer service FIRST, thinking it unethical to whine online without trying to talk through it with them. But the product specialist at Oster assured me there is not a single complaint about this can opener (Seriously? I mean, I saw a dozen complaints at "poor value" ratings at their own site). I regret this purchase and will now have to go through the process of sending it to them, asking for remedy... or else just chalking it up to stupidity for not checking their sites for product complaints first. What a hassle. I'd have to say, "Looks pretty. Sounds powerful. Works when it works. But doesn't work often. R&D on this product went to looks and not performance.
