Attention
- During the drilling process, the pilot pin will retract into the cutter allowing lubrication to reduce heat gain in the slug.
- Insert the ejector pin inside the annular cutter,never use an annular cutter without an ejector pin.
- Using lubricant or coolant with any type of annular cutter is a must. A correct lubrication and coolant delivery more life for annular cutters. HSS annular cutters required Cutting oil, not coolant.

Oh Yeah! I like me some annular cutter cutting. Annular cutters are awesome – why cut out the whole hole if you don't have to. That's crazy thinking – if every body thought like that I never would have sampled that fine pastry known as the doughnut hole.This OscarCarbide 15/16th annular cutter is my second annular cutter – the first I bought was a beautifully machined HSS 3/4” cutter – I've used that cutter quite a bit in the last year – and I like it. I have to say this OscarCarbide 15/16th is every bit her equal. The machining is excellent, the grind (out of the box) is phenomenally sharp. I was worried she wouldn't work well in my mill, this cutter is made for a mag drill – she has a weldon shaft (only about 7/8 inches long) with two flats. I didn't know if I'd get a good hold in the Z collet my Tree Mill uses. I'm happy to say – I popped her in the 3/4” collet, stuck a chunk of ½ inch aluminum plate in the vice, spun it to about 1100 RPM, and went through that plate almost as fast as I could pull the handle. Cutter didn't slip at all – nice cut – nice cutter.I like the 15/16 – I can use my boring head and sneak up on 1” and get nice pressure fit or variations on that theme. I hope one day to have a full set in both flavors – Metric and Sae. These guys aren't cheap though. At 26 bucks this OscarCarbide is substantially cheaper than my ¾ was – looks to be the same quality. This bit is one of the sharpest bits I have ever had. I used it in my drill press and it had no problem drilling holes in 1/8" thick steel plates! It is made of very durable material and the quality seems to be of high standards. It was very easy to use in my magnetic drill press and I believe it is a must have. Definitely worth the money.
