lot of money for foam. got the 5" and 10" for my old realistic t120's. they were different color foam. 5" were dark gray. 10" was light gray. looks funny when you were expecting a matching set.the 5" were kinda messy. used too much glue. the t120"s woofers have an angled cone and the foams were for straight cone but it worked anyways. ( there are 2 different foams. straight and angled). better pay closer attention next time.they "self centered" and i was glad about that. thought i might have problems seeing this was my first time replacing foam surrounds.they sound great after so many years of not being usable and not being throw-out-able if you know what i mean..??i would buy this manufacturers brand again. good quality. should out last the originals by some margin.had to do a little trimming on the 10"ers. about a good 1/8 inch on the outer ring.

The foam inserts do not fit the Optimus Pro LX 5, misses by a little over .2 inches. I went back to the vendor who replaced them saying I got the wrong ones, but they sent the same thing again, and said that it is best they could do. The .2 inches may not sound like much, but that is the foam area that needs to stick to the frame, you are left with very little frame to stick the foam to. For the job itself, you need to remove the existing gasket and reuse them, that is no easy task, and by the time you get them off, there is not really much depth left, the rest is destroyed in the process. Overall, this is not an easy job, and nothing for someone who does not have experience with this type of thing to try. I have it together, but I am not really confident that this is going to work well over the long term. If I had it to do again, I would not spend the money, and find some sort of replacement speaker instead. I am likely going to need to do that anyway if I am going to continue to use these speakers.

The foam did not fit in the original position under the cone of the speakers. It had to be placed on top of the cone. Even this way the foam was a bit to small and I had to pull on it as the glue was setting up to insure a good bond to the frame. The foam looks thinner that the original as well. It would have been much easier to order new speakers from Parts Express for $50.00 a pair, direct fit as well. I would not have to clean the goo off the old speakers which takes time. In addition, it can be a bit messy with the glue if you are not careful.

A small container of general purpose adhesive, the cheapest little brush, “foam surrounds” worth pennies and, voilá, 8000% profit!

Sadly these did not fit my Optimus LX5's very well. They were about 2-3mm smaller than needed. I went ahead with the install thinking maybe they would stretch, but the insufficient cushion from it being stretched caused an awful rattling. I binned my woofers and said to hell with it.Giving 3 stars because honestly this is a really well put together kit, but if your gut tells you these don't fit, just get a refund before you ruin your speakers like this idiot ;)

Worked Great and had really good instructions. I put together my Optimus LX5's with the Linnaeum tweeter so they look and sound brand new! Now I can get ANOTHER twenty years out of them.I highly recommend this product, 91% rubbing alcohol, and a good razor to lift the gasket.
