Huge upgrade to the 50 year old original. I was dreading the install on my 74 CJ5 because it looks like a bunch of individual spade connectors that I would have to plug in individually. Not the case at all, carefully pry the black connector block off the old and press it on to the new.Hardest part of this install was unlocking the shaft with the knob at the end. There is a button on the bottom of the assembly that sits behind the dash that you push in, and then "pull out the shaft". Easier said than done, took quite a bit of wiggling and turning and pushing and pulling, and swearing, before it finally released from the oem switch.At first, I didn't think the old knob shaft would lock into the new switch, but after some more fidgeting and fiddling around it finally decided to lock in.So nice having a sturdy crisp new switch. I'm no longer nervous about fiddling with the old one to keep the dash lights on and accidentally messing up the headlight contact and driving home with a flashlight sticking out the window lol.overall very please with this switch.

Put this on my 75 CJ5 and it fit perfectly and worked well. No instructions, so through trial and error I found out that you must push in the spring loaded button on the top to get the knob and shaft off of the old switch so you can reinstall it on the new switch.
