They are acrylic and waterproof, so they are great for all kinds of arts and crafts projects. I have so much fun using these as they have the large end to color in, and the sharper end to outline and work in the spaces where I don't want colors to mix.I like how the case they come in holds the markers in place, and I am not having to worry about losing any. They are fun to use with kids or as an adult when I am distressing by coloring. Whilst I do not write with them, the color vibrancy for coloring is quite fantastic.

So only 1 marker had problems ( as you can see by the 3 dot test on one of the brown colors) these acrylic markers are quite translucent compared to others in the market. I was hoping to use these to hide black lines in my coloring books but it's pretty clear it won't for most colors. I'll probably end up using these for details but overall kind of disappointing.

These are FANTASTIC! They are vibrant and cover over well. They have no smell. You don't need to shake them to make them work. There are enough colors to choose from. These were a wonderful edition to my collection! Would buy again!

I was curious about the world of adult coloring books, so I ordered these to see if it was something I would enjoy. I was very pleased with the various colors and how they work. The acrylic is much better than a water-based marker because when you are filling in Areas with color, you don’t get the variance of color by overlapping like you do with a water-based coloring pen. The colors are smooth and vibrant! They also aren’t quite as forgiving as a water-based pen because these pens will actually cover the black lines that you are coloring in. The fine tips are what I would call barely fine. Coloring, narrow bands, or getting them in the corner can be a little tough, again, because it will cover up the black outlines. The broad tips work well for filling in larger areas. I cannot speak to how long these will last as I have not used them very long. I also wish there was a Boulder red color, the red one is Vermilion and it just seems rather dull. But overall, it’s an excellent set of pens and I recommend them!

I usually use oil-based paint pens for making permanent marks, but they come with several drawbacks. They require shaking, and because of the capillary action of the nibs, you have to "pump" the tips for a while to get the paint flowing. These acrylic paint markers, however, are ready to use straight out of the box. The paint is bright and opaque, and with such a wide variety of colors, you can really unleash your creativity. My only complaint is that one of the markers arrived with its cap off, causing that particular color to dry out and become unusable.Despite this, I'm very happy with these markers and anticipate using them for many projects.

I had previously tried Ohuhu acrylic paint markers which were okay but there were some problems. One had to press down on the tips to get the paint flowing and sometimes it flowed too well, creating a bit of a mess. These are a great improvement over that previous model.First, no need to press down on the tips. Second, no paint running all over. There is a nice assortment of colors and the markers come in sturdy cardboard trays in a box of the same material. I prefer these to the metal tins many manufacturers use as they are recyclable when no longer needed in the future. However, they are sturdy and will likely last a long time as a convenient way to store the markers. So far, I've only experimented with them a little. Included were black and white cards to mark each color so as to have a color reference when doing more serious work later. This also gives a good impression of how they work on paper. I have tried them on glass (the little butterfly and flower drawing) and on metal (the design on the round tin). They applied well on all of these surfaces. It was particularly fun to draw on glass! (See photo.)It should be noted that these are not markers for small children, though older children who can manage acrylic paint properly could likely handle these just fine. They truly are "paint" markers and therefore I would not use them for the simple coloring that ink or watercolor markers are so good at.This is a 5 star product and I heartily recommend it.

These new Ohuhu acrylic paint markers are really, truly impressive! I genuinely feel bad for the Posca brand. They are that good!!!I was a professional artist before becoming a stay at home Mom. Since having kids, acrylic markers have been one of my favorite go to mediums. Acrylic markers are so much easier to use. They're faster and cleaner than traditional painting. Now my kids are now half grown; we have a house full of creative teenagers. I'd wager my 12-year-old has twice as many of the name brand acrylic markers as I do.And while I really like this new Ohuhu markers, nothing in life is perfect. So stick with me as I nitpick this set apart.THE PROS:- Excellent quality paint! The Ohuhu paint was just as bright and equally thick as the competing name brand. When comparing similar shades between the brands, sometimes the Ohuhu color was noticably more opaque!!!- The Ohuhu's ink dries very quickly. Usually in less than a minute!- The Ohuhu paint can be layered. You will need to use a very light hand though. I found short, quick stokes work better than dotting.- The "fine" nibs are gentle. So gentle, the tips didn't tear up inexpensive printer paper. - The Ohuhu paint did not bleed through the same printer paper either. Just enough paint is released from the tip with each stroke. None of the markers have leaked on us yet.- We love that each marker has two ends. I ordered the "fine & dot" set. The fine tip nib is helpful for detailing. I will likely buy the "brush & fine" set next time. The Cons:- My biggest gripe with Ohuhu is that individual markers are not replacable. I absolutely hate that you have to buy a whole new set to replace the colors you plow through. It always felt very wasteful to me.- There has to be a lot less paint in these markers than the competing brand. These are skinny markers after all. I guarantee we will start to see some of these dry up within a few uses.-If/when you don't recap a marker properly, it'll be a goner for sure (and that happens to all of us). There's no reviving or saving it.- The cardboard packaging is poorly designed. The top tray is too small. My top row of markers do not fit comfortably inside. So my top row falls out of order and rearranged themselves every time I put the lid on. Plus, there is no bottom tray for the second half of the markers. Those markers wiggle around loosely in the base of the box. But generally speaking, they will not get dishoveled in the bottom row.- Some colors are far more opaque than others. Though this problem is typical with any acrylic paint and I don't fault the brand for this. For example, yellow acrylic paint is never an opaque color, no matter the brand.- Some of the colors are almost to close to one another. Some pinks, peaches and yellows are nearly identical shades. I think that's going to bother some customers.- Sometimes the paint dries too quick. By that I mean I can't blend these markers on the paper like I can the other name brand.- And some people might be disappointed that you don't get to "activate them" like you do witn most acrylic markers. By this I mean the nibs come prefilled or pre-saturated; meaning the markers come out of the box ready to go. I mention it because pumping the ink into the white nib is always my daughter's favorite part.So overall, we are incredibly impressed. The negatives of this set are not enough to keep me from buying it again. At the time of this review, this set of markers was only $18!!! Fifty cents a marker feels like an incredibly good deal. A set of eight costs $18 from the other name brand; but with Ohunu you get 36 here! I'm certain we will use these up and I will happily by replacement sets for my teenagers and myself in the future. These would make a fantastic gift too!!!
