Very nice stove. Easy to set up and use. The pot holders fit the Fire-Maple Petrel G2 and the full pot boiled in just over 2 minutes time with no problems. What a great deal. Might have to give these as gifts to my family this spring.

Maybe a little heavier than its competitors but it feels like it will last and work when you need it to. Super sturdy stance since it does perch on a fuel canister.

For the price it sure beats those super expensive stoves. It's a lot more stable than the last one I had at 3 times the price. I think because it doesn't sit on top of the fuel can and uses a hose instead makes it sturdier. Something to consider if you are buying one of these. A definite yes for this product.

Well I have not yet been able to use this stove like I bought it for, but I will try to explain why I did buy it. First off the star rating was so I can compare this stove to what I have, maybe you might like this review if you wanted to maybe get 1. My other stove of this size does the job it was purchased for. Most of the time I either used it on hunting trips, fishing trips or just going backpacking and usually I can make hot water for coffee, hot chocolate even Oatmeal and I have even used it to cooking trout or pan fish. So why did I get this other stove if I can do what I do with mine original stove. Well, according to the package, it says that the BTU's with mixed fuel (butane and propane) for higher elevations was roughly 1500 to 2000 higher than my present stove but this 1 had something that my other 1 can't do, it has an adapter for the use of the 1lb propane canister. Now if you use your stove a lot, you know that these blended fuels can get costly and they are not user friendly when you have left over fuels in the cans that isn't enough to cook with without constantly changing to use them up. Now I can use just propane if I decide to and it still works well in elevations around the 5000 ft to 6000 ft. So I actually bought it for versatility but haven't been able to utilize it yet. I hope this will help and I will get back to this post and update it when I get to use it.

I have another 3-burner stove, which works well, but does not have an ignitor. Got tired of digging through my tote for a grill lighter and got this one. Ignitor works 1st time and stove puts out the HEAT. Boils a quart of water in 3 min. I use the propane adapter which works well - no leaks. The supplied windscreen is appreciated, although is a little short to be effective. Nice thought, tho. I have other, taller windscreens, so no problem. Hose seems well-made, and the container has ample room for the stove, hose and adapter. Valve allows low flame adjustment. Fold-out pot stand works well and supports an 8" pot with no worries. Good value and application !

I got this stove to try out for my cross country trip across the United States. It’s design is impressive, especially how compact it folds up.In terms of storage & weight, as a moderately experienced camper, I was impressed at its size & performance.Even though I had read the instructions, I wouldn’t have needed them. It’s ease of use was delightfully simple & intuitive.Worked as advertised. Propane Tank adapter worked perfectly. I was quite pleased how quickly it boiled water. I’ve only used it about a dozen times over a span of 2 & 1/2 weeks. Sone discolored on the burners, but that’s to be expected.I really am very satisfied with this product. The only issue is the fabric pouch for the windshield I bought with it. This pouch is either a defective pouch & it’s a one off, or, it is simply too small & tight & make taking out and putting back in the windshield difficult & cumbersome.

very high heat output. perfect for boiling water fast. for frying fish I keep it on the lowest setting bc it is that hot. Valve started to leak propane after 1 year. But it is a good portable tool and my mother bought one after using mine on a camping trip

This product was used twice a day 15 days straight during a winter trip across Ontario. Once in the morning for coffee, once at night for cooking dehydrated meals. Ran a combined 20min a day average.Pros:- boils 1qt water quickly in sub zero temperature. 4 minutes or less.- easy to use, set up & pack upAdjustment feature is in a good spot. No need to get your fingers to close to flame like other designs- materials are of good quality and heaft, no issues with metal gas line hose or attachment points- auto light function saves the hastle of using a lighter or sparker (good convince)- came with heat retardant cloth, good for putting it away while still warm, into it's container-container is solid plastic, I like this as it offers better protection to the stove unlike other brands which use cheap fabric draw string bags which break easily and offer no substantial protectionCons:- auto light function did not work out of the box, the needle with the sparker wire was bent to far back from the gas outlets. This caused the spark to jump to the base of the stove instead of the gas outlet, therefore would not light. This problem was easily fixed by bending in the sparker needle closer to the gas outlets- wind gaurd comes apart to easily, althought it is of good quality materials. I would like to see a mechanism added to lock it's desired form into place to protect from wind blowing it out of shape.- the adjustment valve is quite sensitive, it's not easy to control the flame exactly without some fininking around, but it is possible with some practice.- the legs will get loose after use. I noticed on my 7th day the legs where getting quite easy to deploy, vs when it was new it took more effort. This to me is a con because eventually I can see the legs becoming loose to the point where they don't stay stowed once folded in, with no bolts or other options to re-tighten them.Over all it's a good little stove. It's useful, works, I assume will last a while longer. If this review is not updated, you can be rest assured it is still functioning as described in this review.

UPDATEWhile on a Christmas camping trip the ignition switch melted on us. Looks like tiny Tim won't be getting to eat a hot Christmas dinner.I purchased the 6800w version of this product. The Stove was exactly what I was looking for in my price range. Very compact size and the box that the procuct was in makes a great storave box to keep everthing together. The Stove and adapter fits in the orange plastic case. There is also a wind screen in its own cloth bag and mine also came with two little reusable silicone looking resealable bags. I'm not backpacking so the added mass of having it all in that cardboard box doesn't bother me.The setup is easy. Just have to remember to drop some of the legs before swinging them into place so that don't get hung up on the unite. Setup was easy and fast.I used the adapter and fueled with the green propane tanks. This camping trip I only used it for boiling waster for coffee and testing out dehydrated packaged foods. I didn't use the windscreen so not sure if that would of increased the heat production up more but still I was very happy with the time to boil even when the water and air temp as in the 40f that weekend.I've had not experence with air leaks or other issues but I noticed on of the complaint reviews that had pictures they had a different version then I do. Thiers seems to have a round dial on the bottom of the unit. Mine seems to be more of a structure. If you look at the images for this listing you will see they have pictures of two different versions. I have to assume that the lower powered unit was the one having the most issues. So Far I'm happy with this purchase. for small camping trips where no don't want to have to deal with a double burner camping stove, this little guy is easy to take along. I felt more comfterable setting my 64oz kettle on top this unit then I would of one of the stoves that screws onto the top of a fuel bottle.
