I bought this for surfing Socal summer, it's thick enough that it almost feels like a 3/2 but thin enough that it feels like a rash guard. Good middle ground. The inside has a fleece like lining and it kept me warm and cut the wind chill. Since it has that fleece lining it does feel like it gets a bit heavier once in the water but still has enough flexibility. Very happy with this purchase.

O'Neill has always been known for quality surf products, and their thermal does not disappoint. I have three of them for winter weather (outrigger) paddling. They support a full range of motion while keeping you toasty warm. Note: Pay attention to the sizing chart. You may want to order one size larger than normal.

I purchased a size XL for my husband. He is 6'4" 190lbs. This is extra long in the sleeves and body so it fit him accurately. Kept him warm with physical activity in a colder climate at an indoor/outdoor pool in New England in November. I did put it through the washer and dryer - came out fine.Would recommend/would purchase again.

this is one of the kind product. It is a fine fleece top for water activities.- it is very light weight and warm- can be worn by itself , or under jacket or neoprene suite.- I would say it runs small. I normally wear size L, but for this I needed XL as L was too tight.

My husband has asthma and we have a pool (in SoCal) although it is not heated, he wears it under his wetsuit and it sure makes a difference!He also wears it to the gym when he swims because it keeps his chest warm.Thanks O’Neill for a great thermo shirt. Now, if I could only find shorts or pants with the same material.

You will want to keep it on in between dives, during surface interval.Does not replace 3mm suit, but really comfortable.Definitely want to get out of neoprene in between dives.

I use the thermo x to swim in outdoor pool during winter in N Calif. with just right amount of insulation from cold air and wind on wet skin. It’s comfy and I can swim with no restriction, however there’s a little drag on the arms where it’s looser fitting.

I've never bought a rash guard or insulative top before, but we just bought a new house with a big pool and it's just too cold outside of the summer months and too expensive to heat. I'm a bigger guy and the XL fit great. It's thick and spongy but not heavy. I had no idea what to expect. It does not constrict any movement. I kind of look cool wearing it, and even gives me a little slimming look, if I do say so myself.I can easily get into a cool pool and at first I feel just a bit of the coldness, but in 15 or 20 seconds, its great! I spend 30 to 60 minutes in the pool after 5PM and it never loses the insulating effect. It's easy to get off and it dries super quick, just letting it hang over the balcony.I'm not sending a picture, because I don't think anyone wants to see that, BUT I for sure recommend this. Saw ones that were TONS more expensive. Don't know how much better those are, but like I said this one works GREAT!!!
