This base is heavy and sturdy. The sides are 0.090" steel and the bottom flange is 0.130" steel. The square opening is 5-5/8" wide for a 6x6 post. There is a ample drainage from the inside. The welds are good. The load-bearing baffle is raised away from the bottom flange to keep the wood above any puddles. And the load baffle has a round boss that could help support the load if it is installed on flat concrete (there will be a 1/8" clearance between the round boss and the concrete, which is OK).

Two thumbs up. Beyond expectations. Strong 💪🏼 heavy metal 👍🏻. Excellent design. Very reasonable price compared to other brands selling in similar product category. I am using them to my DIY backyard porch project. I received the package 📦 today items were packed with bubble wraps individually. No damage. I recommend this seller and this product.

These brackets are built to last. They weigh a ton and stand out for the price. I have a set of TOJA ones that cost 4 times as much as these brackets. They both do the same thing, and they will both be used to complete a pergola expansion project. The quality is really good for what they are and the drainage design is actually perfect for the location that these 4 are being put at. I do wish that I did more shopping earlier on as I definitely didnt need to spend so much more for the big-name brand ones I got earlier.Overall, this was a great deal and I will be looking for additional brackets from this company in the future.

Build quality on these are really nice. The elevated base nest should keep the post from sitting in water but doesn’t noticeably allow for drainage.

I had to lane a little off to get a hood got,but that maybe the variance in wood sizing, these make an easy interconnect from concrete to wood and prevent the wood rotting out.Feel sturdy and the coating is good quality and should last a good while

These 6x6 post bases are extremely solid and so well made, plus excellent powder coating on the thick metal… will outlast my pergola! Standard 6x6 post fit snug, 8 drill holes per post base keep the posts secure, and the bottom sits flat and once anchored to concrete… it’s solid. I like the water dispersion from the drainage holes and how the post sits raised to help with the longevity of the wood.Overall, I think this 8-pack of heavy-duty post-base kit is not only top quality and build, it’s a significant cost saving at this price point compared to the big box hardware stores.

If you need a 6 x 6 post hole bracket this is not the item for you these come in 5 1/2 x 5 1/2 so not worth it

Very thick and very well made.The iron is very thick and cannot bend... not even the small "trim" around.Love how it has holes to evacuate water. Even on ground (earth) this will be perfect.The soldering is very well made. All around and not roughly made. If you put these on a surface we can see you will not see those soldering. It is esthetic.Cannot beat this price. Forget the big box hardware stores. You cannot beat also the quality.Excellent buy.

Original order an incorrect item was delivered . .went thru Amazon process of returning item (at no charge) and order was resubmitted . . .process was straightforward to resolve . . .correct item was shipped promptly and received . . all 8 of the deck post appear to be well made of consistent quality . . . time will tell how well made as they will be exposed to outdoor elements over time . . .

I don't know what the fuss was in other reviews about the dimensions, unless the dimensions were added later in the picture set in the description, but these were spot on for my 6" x 6" posts (that are slightly less than 6"). I was impressed with the quality and with the price! I'd highly recommend these.
