The oring was large and the valve would not fit properly had to use the bolts to slowly force it to seat so far seems to be working well

I've had an erratic idle for the last five years! My E85 still flew fine at speed, but it would barely stay running at a stop. I had four different BMW certified mechanics tell me it was either a cracked or warped valve cover or bad intake gaskets or a vacuum cap that had come off. I have had some time recently so I thought I'd take off the cover and intakes and see what I could. I have an Autel Maxisys 800 which didn't tell me much other than there was a fluctuation in the idle and low pressure in the injector rail. The first thing I removed after the air-box and the intake hose was this assembly. Low and behold the plastic shaft coming off the actuator cog was missing entirely, and the gate was flapping around freely hanging on by the small outer pin. I looked in the cover and found the piece lodged between the intake grooves, so I lucked out! I ordered this unit (highly affordable, functional and highly recommend it). I also ordered the rebuild kit for my old unit just in case - that works very well also, but I'll keep both and this one is exceeding my expectations!

My old DISA valve failed and I replaced it with this one. Easy to install with the right tools, works better than I expected.

I would rate it zero stars if possible. The first one arrived in a non operable condition. The diaphragm held little pressure and leaked down quickly. I gave them a second chance and requested a replacement. The second one held no pressure, the valve slammed shut immediately. Very poor quality and apparently zero QC before shipment. Thankfully im not out any money only time and the inconvenience of an inoperable car.
