- The NiSi Close Up Lens Kit is a lens attachment that you can screw onto the front of your lens and with which you can greatly enlarge your subject.
- The most effective way to achieve a closer minimal focal distance.
- It is an easy way to get macro photos, instead of removing the lens from the camera by using intermediate rings.
Smaller and lighter
For travel photography the close-up lens also has the advantage of being smaller, lighter and more durable than a dedicated macro lens. The Close Up lens kit includes close-up lens, 2pcs lens cap and pouch for storage.
Double element lens
Compared with the normal close up filters which made of a single element lens, NiSi close up lens made of double optical corrective glasses with apochromatic design and muti-nano coating to give advanced resolution and a natural color with almost no purple/green fringing both within focus and in bokeh.
Magnification
The magnification achieved depends on the focal range of lenses. It will be higher with longer focal lengths. The magnification will be close to 1:1 when you focus at 200mm.
Working distance
It is important to know the maximal and minimal distances at which you can focus because you will only be able to take a properly focused image within that range. It is possible to change the working distance a bit by turning your focus ring of your lens.
Focal length
NiSi Close-up lens can make a telephoto lens function as a macro lens with a large working distance. We suggest using it with zoom or prime lenses in the focal length range of 70-300mm.
Aperture
We recommend using the close-up lens on telephoto lenses with an medium aperture of f8-f16 to achieve the sharped details and obtain a nice depth of field. Because the depth of field is so narrow it is also strongly advised to use a tripod / macro focusing rail.

Bonnette Nisi de très bonne qualité totalement en métal. Fournie avec un étui rigide et deux adaptateurs de 62 mm et 67 mm. Très bonne qualité optique. Montée sur un objectif Nikkor MC 105 mm f 2.8. Seul petit bémol, ne pas trop serrer l'adaptateur sur l'objectif car il est ensuite difficile de le retirer car il est totalement lisse. Je pensais laisser à demeure l'adaptateur mais le cache de l'objectif ne peut plus être fixé. A part ça, ravi de mon achat !

I use this with step up rings on my 35mm and 90mm lenses on the Leica M10 in live view if i need closer focusing distance. I don’t do this often and of course nobody serious about macro would be doing this but this adapter makes it easy to have the option. The resultant focal plane is definitely a little curved, depending on the lens, not bad but you’re best off using this for 3 dimensional subjects and not squared-off flat level surfaces. Bright corner to corner, pretty sharp, and the distortion is not bad. This is a great option that’s easy to carry if you occasionally might want close focus.

Ett billigt sätt att göra en telefotolins till en makrolins, eller förstärka förstoringsgrad på en makrolins något. Nackdelen är att bilden nog inte blir skarp kant-till-kant. Skärpedjupet minskar avsevärt också. Riktigt bra optisk kvalitet och välbyggt (metallkonstruktion). Seriös pryl.

Like the lens filter quite a bit. The images from it are pretty good. The issue I have is the stepdown rings. When you screw the ring all the way in, there's no side sticking out, and therefore, there's no grip. I get you can get the filter close to the lens, but to remove the ring, it's very hard to avoid touching the lens front element. I ended up getting the 'normal' stepdown rings myself.

IMHO The NiSi Macro Close-Up NC Lens Kit 77mm is a solid lens attachment. It comes in a sturdy carrying case and has two lens caps on the lens itself for extra protection. I've included a single shot of a spider torso I took when I first used it, it was a handheld shot on a 70-200mm lens without flash or any artifical light. I am considering getting the smaller version to use with my smaller lenses. I'm pretty pleased with the item and its performance and its solid construction. I would recommend it to people who want to do macro photography using lenses they already own.

I purchased this to try my hand at macro photography, and this adapter is of great quality. The glass is amazing, and it’s coated too. The aluminum frame is solid and screws in perfectly. I took a bunch of different pictures of flowers and bugs, good sun and some overcast days. I think the photos came out pretty good for what they are, but I also wanted a real macro lens too. I ended up finding an old Nikon Macro 105!without VR for only a few more $ than this adapter. I’m hoping I made the right choice in returning this and going for the real macro lens.
