I replaced a bilge pump in my boat that worked off of a two way switch. I bought a new pump which I thought was defective. Come to find out in requires a 3 way rocker for automatic / off / manual. So you’ll need this for a shoreline marine bilge pump.

These are a nice addition to the boat . Having twin bilge pumps and dual switches that match helps keep my OCD in check . They look great mounted in the dash also .

Rocker switch is great, but it is not a standard bilge switch that is momentary in the manual position. I've MacGyver'd a spring under the rocker for the time being until I can find the momentary in manual mode style one. Really wish it would have panned out. Other Nilight products have been great so far.Hope this clarifies switch for others.

This is a good toggle switch. It is inteded for use with a bilge pump, however I am using it a bit differently. I am using this as just a regular SPDT switch in order to switch my cigarette lighter outlets from always on to switched. In my 2010 Ford Crown Victoria, since it was a previous police cehicle, the outlets are wired to be always on. This can get frustrating when my phone connects to the bluetooth automatically when I am not in the car. It also causes a small but noticeable battery drain. I used this switch along with a relay to allow me to switch between always on outlets, and ignition switched outlets. This will handle 20A at 12V, so this is enough to power two cigarette lighter outlets. It came included with the switch, as well as 4 mounting screws, 4 wires with pre crimped male quick connects, and 4 female quick connects. I like that they included the wires and quick connect terminals, it's nice to not need to go searching for those in my tool box. Overall this is a great single pole double throw switch and will work for any application where that is needed.

I'm completely rewiring an old boat I've been restoring, and it's time to add my bilge pump switch. This one is just what I needed -- center position off, with SPDT operation. The switch is labeled clearly for AUTO and MANUAL, and the lights work accordingly.A regular SPDT switch would have 3 terminals: center contact that makes with the upper or the lower contact according to switch position (or neither in center/OFF position). With a bilge pump, you're also typically going to be switching the power (+12V) to the pump. In the case of this switch, there's a 4th spade terminal in the upper corner where you attach a ground wire. This completes the backlight circuit when the switch is in use. While the switch does come installed on a nice black aluminum mounting plate with black mounting screws, it is of a standard size and could be removed from the branded mounting plate and installed onto a different panel, generally ganged with several other switches. There is no backlight when the switch is in the OFF position, which is the only thing I might suggest as an improvement: maybe a 5th terminal for backlight +12V power as some other devices have. Not a showstopper for me, regardless.Otherwise, this Nilight switch is perfect for my needs and I'd readily recommend it.
