Needed an alternator overnight because the vehicle was disabled. Replaced, was a good fit. The bearing went out of course right after the return window, right at one month after purchase. Makes a terrible grinding noise. As of right now, cant return it. Should have just bought off a parts site.

Bought this used for my brothers Dodge Nitro 3.7l for $59Alternator arrived packaged adequately and on time. Unboxed and then brought down to O'Reilly's to have them do a full test. Passed all tests, then installed.Installation took less than 20 minutes, once the air box was removed. When releasing belt pressure on the tension arm, you lift it upward from the passenger wheel to the hood using wrench, breaker bar, socket wrench, or etc.Ran the vehicle for a few days and battery was above 13.8v everytime it was checked with a voltmeter (DMM).Only thing wrong with the alternator is where the pigtail plugin. One side is missing part of the plastic plug housing, it was broken prior to me receiving alt. It doesn't hinder functionality. A little dab of silicone will prevent any moisture from getting in the connection.Excellent purchase.Don't be afraid to buy used items.

$300 less for a new alternator than what any auto parts store wanted for a rebuilt one. Fit and functions perfectly. Fee, 2 day delivery was a big plus!
