I ordered this microphone boom arm to use it in my YouTube channel and so far so good. I love the stylish look of this Mount-It microphone boom arm, and the built quality feels really sturdy. I really like the internal cable management, it's a great feature that allows me to keep my desk looking clean. It's also very flexible for positioning the microphone for recordings. Setting it up was a breeze, and the clamp holds the arm securely to my desk without any worries about it slipping. The only thing to be aware of is the weight limit (up to 2.2 lbs weight) so make sure your microphone isn't too heavy. Overall, this is a great boom arm for YouTubers or podcasters, especially at this price point. I would definitely recommend it!

Make sure you your microphone is the right weight or be careful of what you add to the boom. I had a heavier sure condenser on one that didn't fair to well. All in all it is a great boom arm especially for the price!

This gets some inspiration from a well known brand for its cable management.. which is not to say thats bad because its great!The arm feel well made, has easily accessible adjustment screws for tension. So if you have a lighter mic or a heavier mic you can adjust it so it doesnt sag and stays where you want it. It has approx 32" reach horizontally, so keep that in mind if you have a deeper desk like I do, it wont quite make the reach.Comes with all the adapters you need for mics, so any mic mount should work... only thing that it doesnt have is 1/4" which isnt much of an issue since most mics will not have this... but would be nice if you wanted to mount a camera or other accessories on it.The desk clamp is large and positions the majority of the arm over the desk, which is something I like and should be standard on all boom arms.The main scissor arms are covered with a plastic so, no pinching fingers when adjusting by accident. The cable management is built in and has a nice easy cover that comes off and you lay your cables inside then just replace the cover. Quite nice!Overall, this is a solid mic boom arm, would recommend.

The build quality for this mic boom arm surprised me. Not only does it articulate well beyond what the typical cheap boom arms, but it also has a small cable channel to hide those pesky USB cables. No more velcro zip ties! However, I was hoping this kit came with a few different adapters so I could mount the camera that I use for overhead shots. Unfortunately, the only adapter this comes with is made specifically for microphone mounts (which, to be fair, it is advertised as a mic boom arm). I'd have liked to see an assortment of adapters to cover the slew of products you can mount on boom arms (for example, camera, ring lights, etc.). Still, I can't subtract any stars for that, right?Going back to the build quality, the mounting clamp is one of the best I've ever seen on a boom arm. It comes with rubber protective stickers to protect your desktop from getting marred by the heavy metal clamp. It also comes with another base so you can permanently install the boom arm by drilling a few holes in your desk. You've got to appreciate that kind of attention to detail.One other detail that would have been a nice addition, which many mic boom arms come with now is an extension rod to lift the boom arm 12 inches from the desk, allowing more room to have the microphone hang over your monitor, for example.
