Saves replacing transformer after an accidental short-circuit. mini circuit-breaker protects secondary coils against sudden damage from a short or other excess current draw.This is a normal control transformer, with the added feature of a 24VAC 3.7-amp circuit breaker. It's a well-designed replacement for most control transformers found in furnaces, boilers, and air conditioning units (such as RTU / large and small rooftop units). All of these HVAC systems require 24VAC for the controller, and for the thermostat to work, and that control voltage is provided by the transformer. Transformer is of the most common items to fail every few years, and this is a great replacement for any 75VA, 40VA, or even a smaller transformer. Easily wired for use with 120VAC, 208VAC / three-phase, 240VAC, or 480VAC supply by just choosing the right colored primary wires. Circuit breaker on secondary / 24VAC side helps protect the output coils against shorts.Generally, see bottom right side of photo for circuit breaker. --Dave Kone
