The Monstrum Piggyback Red Dot Mount for Rifle Scopes is built for mounting a red dot sight as a secondary sighting system directly to your rifle scope tube. This setup allows for fast transition between your rifle scope and a 1x power red dot optic for use at closer ranges. The red dot mount is available in multiple styles:
A Venom footprint version for use with red dots with a Vortex Venom standard mounting footprint
An RMR footprint version for use with red dots with an RMR standard mounting footprint
Also available as a picatinny rail mount version for use with red dots with a standard Picatinny base
Vortex Venom standard version is compatible with Vortex Venom/Viper, Burriss Fastfire 2/3, TRUGLO TRU-TEC, UTG Micro, and all Docter/Noblex footprint pattern red dots. Please refer to compatibility chart before purchasing.
RMR standard version compatible with Trijicon RMR/SRO / Holosun HS407C/HS507C/HS508T red dots. Please refer to compatibility chart before purchasing.
Ring mount fastens around your scope tube, installing via two set screws and included hex key. Available in 1 inch and 30 mm diameters.

Was looking for a way to transition from my 1-10x LPVO to up close / RMR red dot.I tried 45 degree offset but found the motion to be unintuitive. After researching further, saw lots of professionals using the piggyback method using this product. Once I tried it I was hooked.Monstrum Tactical is not the most "high end" but far from poor quality.In fact, through the years it seems their quality has substantially increased while keeping the prices reasonable.Would absolutely recommend this product10/10

Liked it enough to put a second one on another build. Has held zero. Just recommend witness marking the screws to be able to see anything that walks out.

Liek the title says, this isn't compatible with the Monstrum Pro series 7075 aluminum scope mounts, in that it doesn't mount to the ring base entirely; the tap hole spacing on the piggyback mount is just wide enough that you can attach it to the Pro series mount using either the front two or back two screws, but not all four at once, as intended.Additionally, the rmr mounting plate is secured to the ring with two small, countersunk screws on the bottom, and while this wasn't a problem for me (I'm only using this for an airsoft optic), I could definitely see it coming loose and causing a poi shift after some use.

This product is absolute garbage. I ordered a previous and thought maybe I had something defective but now know that this product is no good. DO NOT BUY! Placed my venom on top and did not even apply 15 inch pounds and the screw that was supplied with the product stripped the screw well. If I hadn’t already spray-painted the outside, I would return this POS for a full refund. If I had the option, I would give it no stars.
