The Savage Axis Picatinny Rail Mount is a dedicated optic mounting platform built specifically for the Savage Axis/Axis II/ Edge rifles, allowing for precision mounting of your preferred optic.
The Picatinny rail section installs directly to the factory mounting holes in the Savage Axis via the included set screws. The rail sections are compatible with both Picatinny and Weaver based rings and optics.
7 inches or 16 rail slots in length, the rail allows for flexible placement of your optic for optimum eye relief and cheek weld. Crafted from lightweight 6061 grade aluminum.

I used this on my 2013 savage axis. I like that this rail came with the #6 and #8 screws. Does not wobble, it fits tightly to the rifle. The only minor complaint I have is that the screws are Phillips head, but I had zero issues.

used this on my savage axis ll to mount my scope back a little further and it worked great for that. had to grind the front of the mount down a little bit so that the bell of the scope would clear it

Fit perfectly. You even get two different size mounting screws, #6 and #8 so you have the right ones. Allows me to mount the scope to just the right eye relief.

Very heavy duty. Fits Savage Axis perfectly. Bubble does help level rifle for scope assembly. Not so much for use when scope is installed. But it does help line rifle up for installation. I myself have a bubble mount on my scope as well that is easier to see. The screws are flatheads. I like others have used other screws that were on the bases installed on the rifle from the factory. Like I said it is as advertised. They show flat head screws in the illustrations. I will be buying another for another rifle shortly. I do like the bubble to get my rifle level before setting the scope up and lining up the reticles. I did end up using the screws that came with the rifle. Some people claim they received scope bases without the bubble level. If that happens you received the wrong scope base. They also sell one without the bubble level and it's much cheaper.

Shipping was fast, just mounted it on my 350 legend with a vortex copperhead scope. Very well built I am impressed at this price.
