2.5 stars due to sizing. I bought this in king size and it never fits any of my duvet covers.It’s a very small yet daily inconvenience for the blanket to never fit into duvet covers.However, it’s a really good cover. It keeps me cool, it is easy to clean or wash. It’s in good shape even years later.

I did return it, but because I wasn't sure if I needed the 1 or 2kg option. I am a very hot sleeper, and I felt like for me, the 1kg might be a summer blanket.. but the 2kg was perfect for winter!

As a hot sleeper I have bought several duvet inserts over the years trying to find one that has some weight but doesn’t make ne sweat. Ive bought cheap inserts, expensive inserts - all with varying levels of success. When I saw rhe Mommesilk duvet insert it seemed like a great combo - a cooling insert that still hugged your body.I only used white bedding because i like a clean, minimal Hotel inspired bedroom. When i received my duvet insert i was bummed to see that a large black brand label was sewn onto the insert. I put the insert into my duvet and could see the logo and label showing through. I guess i can cut the label out and risk cutting open the baffle box construction or I can lay the duvet logo side down but it is still irritating.As for the actual comfort I will say it’s okay. I wouldn't recommend as there are cheaper alternatives out there that deliver a similar experience and without an unattractive label showing through.

First impressions: this thing is so nice. Cool to touch, thin but weighted… I haven’t had the chance to sleep with it yet but just getting under it, I can already tell it’s a keeper. It feels really nice and I will sure update you all!

I did a lot of research and thought I was going to purchase a Down comforter but because I live in South Florida, I really needed something that would keep me somewhat cool at night. This silk duvet has been excellent. I am very happy with the purchase.

When I first opened I thought it was a little thin, but that’s how these are. It’s a different feeling how they lay against your body vs down. I can’t say enough good things about this blanket. It keeps you warm when you need to be warm yet cool when you need to be cool. To me it seems like it regulates. I suggested this blanket to a friend who then bought one for everyone in their house. I do suggest to get a 100% cotton duvet as the shell of this one is cotton. It is real silk and very good quality.

The quilt is perfect for the summer. It’s lightweight and soft. However, the quilt is NOT silk. The outside shell is cotton, but the stuffing is silk. That’s not why I took away a star. Once you wash the quilt and hang it to dry, it is SOOOO wrinkled. You will have to press the quilt with an iron or steamer (the iron is faster) before putting it back on your bed. You may be better off buying a duvet cover for the quilt so you only have to wash the cover more often.

I’ve been looking for the perfect comforter forever. I get way too hot with a traditional down alternative one, so a light quilt with a blanket on top is my go-to. I like using duvets because you can change the look of your bed so easily, but all of the inserts I’ve tried were uncomfortably hot, even the lightweight ones. Ideally, I wanted a quilt with corner ties but my deep searching yielded no results. Also, I hate duvet clips. This comforter is just what I needed. It has the weight of a heavy comforter but the breathability of a regular blanket. I do get a bit warm during the night sometimes, but I think that’s mostly related to the fact that I sleep on a memory foam mattress. Even so, it’s the most comfortable and cool duvet insert I’ve found and I love it. It’s just right for a picky and high-maintenance (aka, me).
