The Moen M-Core 3 cartridge is not installer friendly. It took me 3 cartridge purchase to get one that did not leak immediately after installation. I would not recommend this type of system.

I'm a licensed plumber and I would never recommend moen to anybody. I bought this just to replace a pre-existing valve and instantly regretted it. I ended up replacing the whole mixing valve assembly.

We bought this not knowing you have a specific kind of item for every piece. Make sure you know all the pieces that go with it that you plan on using.

I've had three different plumbers out to try to fix and it went through five different cartridges and two valves. After I set the water off it just leaks and drips drip drips drips drip. I'm going to have to replace it with a different faucet completely and diverter. Now I got to redo my tile. And Moen has no support team that goes out in the field.

The package was already opened. I install the cartridge anyway, hoping it was ok. The shower still leaked!
