The spreaders were quality and just what I wante.! BUT it took a man and a borrowed tool to get them out of the plastic ties and cardboard they come in. I wanted to use them asap for a party, but couldn't get them out of package! Wanted to give a five star review on the spreaders themselves, though.

VERY rock hard sturdy, which I appreciate in flatware. The shiny gloss may look a tad platicky, but these are a good deal for solid appetizer forks when one needs reliable, yet not fancy. I will recommend them.

For olives, pickled onions or when you want to take your time to eat cake, these forks are great. They come close to matching my silverware patter and are not flimsy and do not fade. Solid cocktail fork!

Just received my "Serena" demitasse spoons, and the product rates FIVE STARS . . . beautifully finished, with no rough or sharp edges, I am well pleased: BUT it shouldn't take 20 minutes to extricate 4 little spoons from their packaging ! One's first impression is, " How beautifully presented ! " . . . (a plastic box inverted within a heavy cardboard box displaying the spoons;) then one tries to remove the plastic box to retrieve the spoons and the agony begins . . . after a great deal of gnashing of teeth and explosions of greatly un-ladylike imprecautions, this is finally achieved; THEN one is faced with 4 spoons FIRMLY attached to a cardboard backing, each with two heavy plastic fasteners ! I reached for my trusty KitchenAid kitchen shears (which are sharp and STRONG to the very tip) and after a great deal more gnashing of teeth and frankly BLUE language, I was able to achieve my goal. Whew! Whoever designed that packaging should be firmly chastised.
