I'm often soldering 12 or 10 AWG wire into heavy banana plugs and/or jacks, and doing so with the smaller STTC-136 was workable but slow. With this beast, the soldering is done in a twinkle; it's hard to believe it's the same power supply, it's so much quicker. Highly recommended for tackling the big jobs.
