The bristles are very soft, too soft, and will only scrub very soft stains and deposits. I'd have returned them but it was too late. For me, they ar4e useless.Only one brush was metal - the pipe cleaner brush, and its bristles were rather stiff and hard, and would scratch plastic.

I love that this came with different sizes. I use this to wash my Grandson's sippy cups, medicine syringes, straws and a food basters (I use to quickly suck grease out of a pan). The only issue I come across with every brush is the little ball at the end, I wish it had some bristles at the very end to really get down in the tiny cracks in some of his sippy cups.

Bristles go all the way past the tip of the wires in these brushes. Bristles are firm but flexible. Wires might be a little too stiff for some, but they are well made. They are a great help with cleaning my paint sprayer. Multiple sizes is handy.I think these will last quite awhile.[Edit] I wrote this review June 2023. It is just over a year later July 2024. I still give a five star review. I use the brushes about once a week. Mostly for my paint sprayer but for other tools as well. Nothing has fallen apart. Still liking everything about them.
