What is Melt and Pour Soap Base?
Melt and Pour Soap Base is a pre-made soap that you can melt down, add scent and colorants and let harden inside your own molds.
It’s an easy way to make your own customized soap at home without having to handle some of the more caustic chemicals like lye or purchasing safety gear.
The soap base already went through the full saponification process (the chemical reaction that makes lye safe for skin), therefore you can enjoy your soap immediately, rather than waiting 4-6 weeks for it to completely cure as with the cold process.

Melt and Pour Soap Base Directions:
Cut soap base into pieces
Cut the Pifito Melt and Pour Soap Base into small chunks and place into a container. Heat soap in a microwave, at 30-second intervals, stirring between each one. Melted base should be smooth and liquidy, with no lumps or chunks. Alternatively, the soap base can be melted in a double boiler.
Add essential oils and colorants
Add colorants, fragrance oil or essential oil to the melted soap. If desired add florals.
Pour mixture into mold
Slowly pour soap into mold. Soap should be hard enough to unmold in a few hours.
Let soap cool until hardens
Once completely hardened, pop the bars out of the mold. You can use your soap right away.

This company is my go-to for all my soap base needs! Every variety I've tried (which I think is all of them by now) have been great, and my customers love that they are detergent free and, for the most part, vegan (honey and goat milk are obviously not.)

I like these samplers a lot. It gives me the opportunity to try out different types of bases for the business I do work for. We like to try different bases to give our customers choices in our soaps. I've had no problems with the quality of the product. They melt nicely and anything I add incorporates well. I really love the different varieties available!! The price is reasonable. They are nicely packaged with full ingredients listed which is so important when labeling the products we choose to make as we know what's in the bases and can pass that along to customers. I have ordered 3 times so far and plan on getting more from them very soon!!!

Great variety of soap bases for all skin types and preferences! Melted well during soap making process, no clumps, no separation at pour & most had little to no bubbling with proper heat time. Light smell for each, but smell was still present on the "clear/unscented" option.

This was my introduction to making soap. I love the variety in this set, it really helped me figure out what worked best for what I was trying to make. The clear soap base was ideal for this project. I just brushed mica powder into silicon molds, then poured my melted soap base in. I plan to purchase more down the line.

Easy to use for melt and pour soap very moisturizing I added fragrance oil to it for a stronger scent. Highly recommend
