This heavy side-split welding blanket provides outstanding protection from heat, sparks, slag and cuts. When the heat is on hold it together and stay safe with Memphis welding apparel. Made of heavy side-split cow leather and 1.5-mm in thickness. Memphis welding in black logo. Single/chain Kevlar thread stitching with 8 stitches to an inch. Seams constructed to prevent spark penetration. Can be used for multiple welding applications. Available in gray color. Measures 72-Inch length by 36-Inch width.

This is blanket is the real deal when welding on vehicles and/or other areas that need protection. 6'X3' is big enough for most projects. Also, being leather this blanket eliminates the mess with those fiberglass blankets that leave particles everywhere and can give you skin rashes.

We use these leather blankets in our shop to protect the machines we build from weld spatter and grinding dust, we have ordered many sets and love them way better than the fiberglass itchy blankets, worth the money

In TX summer I like to wear shorts in the shop as a simple means of survival. I will take the splatter burns and scratches to get a little airflow on light welding days. 75% of my day is normally moving around and prepping materials in a shop. In the first day of use, this blanket is great for covering my legs when welding from a stool, great to cover my body when welding in a horizontal position from a creeper welding overhead in tight spots. Appears to be of high quality and good value for the price. I will report if any flaws appear.

Thick leather. It wasn't obvious from the pictures but this blanket is made of a bunch of smaller squares sewn together. The squares are probably 16"x16" ? Not that that will affect the functionality, but just wasn't apparent from the photos.I think this will be much better than the fiberglass welding blankets. I've even used canvas in a pinch, but the BBs burn right through and I've often worried that it might actually catch fire. No such worries with this.

Love it! Nice quality, very thick. after managing to catch a very beat up fiberglass blanket on fire, I decided it was time to spend money on a quality blanket. I also got tired of being itchy after moving a fiberglass blanket around all day.I purchased one of these, and liked it enough to buy a second, which I plan to cut up into several small pieces (2'x 1.5' maybe). I build roll cages, and need managable pieces to slide between tubes and the vehicle body. I'll probably be buying another one or two in the future.

Using for behind a clothing steamer. Not what is designed for but it works. The only negative is it "sheds" a lot. Seems like "leather/suede dust."
