What are the Symptoms of a Bad Blend Door Actuator ?
An air blend door actuator is constructed from a plastic housing, a small electric motor, and a plastic gear set. A door position sensor is also incorporated into the unit to send feedback information to the climate control computer.
1, Clicking sound beneath the dashboard: A faint clicking or droning sound underneath the dash is usually a blend door actuator noise.
2, Knocking sound under the dash: Each time you notice a Knocking or tapping sound when you start your vehicle or turn on the HVAC system, it signifies an issue with the blend door actuator.
3, Wrong Temperature: Bad blend door actuators are mostly the cause of malfunctioning climate control systems.

- How to reprogram your HVAC control module?
1. Place the ignition switch in the OFF position.
2. Remove the HVAC/ECAS fuse for a minimum of 10 seconds.
3. Install the HVAC/ECAS fuse.
4. Start the vehicle.
5. Wait 40 seconds for the HVAC control module to self-calibrate.

This is not a critique of the product but of the engineering. The blend door actuator is quite difficult to replace. It is very hard to gey to the three 8 mm bolts that hold it in place.

Used this on a '06 Chrysler 300C. This was for the temperature control on the driver and rear facing vents. The actuator had gone out and was stuck blowing only cold air. Once I swapped it for the new one, the door was opening and closing fine. Will purchase again when the others go out.

Replaced my original part with this and works just fine. I have an 06 Dodge Charger RT. I recommend you buy 2 because you most likely will need to replace both actuators if one is acting up.
