This is the 2 nd umbrella I have ordered, I love it only the most recent one did not have a tie string other than that the umbrella is wonderful.

Crank opens umbrella easily. Umbrella tips and blocks the sun as needed. Tip: bring umbrella down when windy or it will tip over bringing table with it.

Correspond aux photos. Par contre, la manivelle est montée à l'envers (down c'est pour ouvrir le parasol) mais une fois qu'on le sait, pas de souci. Le petit bémol, c'est l'emplacement de cette manivelle, située trop haut par rapport aux bords du parasol; Il faut donc se contorsionner pour l'atteindre et démarrer à l'aveugle.

In a freak 3am gust of wind while the thing was open, it was picked up and tipped over and I had thought it was broken as the top and the mast were seemingly no longer connected. Turns out the hinge portion that lets you tip the umbrella to an angle has the worst design. It is just GLUED in place in the ends of the tube and not screwed into a threaded fitting, nor held in place by even so much as a rivet.Thankfully, it was not broken, just unexpectedly disassembled by a gust of wind. Epoxy will be making this more stable by tomorrow afternoon or so.Given the wind and other collapsible things I was stupid enough to buy over the years, this held up nicely where the inner "skeleton" of the framework is concerned. I have had to replace a bent arm on other, pricier umbrellas recently, both which had seen less wind than this one did in that short time frame.

Quality umbrella! Great price! So very easy to set up. Really like the Velcro strap instead of having to tie when in down position. The color exceeded my expectation.

I am very pleased with this umbrella, I had ordered another same price and was not happy with how flimsy it was so returned and this is by far superior to it, much sturdier and better quality including more arms making it sturdier and the fabric seems to cover a wider area also. Love the scallops, helps with more shaded area also. It is easy to open and close, as with any umbrella you have to duck when doing that till it gets past your head. The tilt also works well. I have it in a cast iron base with a very heavy slate on one end to keep the wind from knocking over as it is free standing…for those of you who complained about that, myself having had umbrellas for many years, any of them will likely fall over even if in a heavy table..had happened to me, breaking the glass top table!… if left open when it’s very windy. That’s how I learned. I just make it a habit of bringing it down when I am not using or not at home. It’s very windy today and it has not fallen over. I love the deep royal blue color, not real stark bright. One thing missing tho is a strap to put around it when closed that seems like many I’ve had do come attached with. Not sure how it will last before fading but hopefully a year or two anyway.
