I like that the bass strings were all a golden sheen. The sound is bright and beautiful. When I started playing acoustic bass in '09 I only used EarthWood's. Eventually I want to buy some elixirs. Two metal balls fell off when being tightened. It was my fault, but, after that I tuned it GDAE and have already played about 8 songs. I would reccomend buying these if you have never expeerienced this brand before. PEACE to all the acoustic bass players! I got the 'medium' size. I bet the "light" gauge is great too. In about two months I'm gonna buy Elixir strings.
