Per usual Makita has gone above and beyond in quality and precision. Has grip on the bottom so you aren’t required to clamp it down.

This shorter rail comes in handy all of the time. Most of my cuts are not very long and this makes it easy to manage.

Used with a 120V Makita plunge/track saw.I combine several of these (I have 4 different lengths) with the Makita splice strips to get a variety of lengths. I have used up to 16 foot runs (for long perimeter board cuts on a composite deck picture frame style install) and obtained laser-straight cuts that look very good. It goes without saying that shorter lengths even easier as there is no splice. One thing to note is that these come with soft sponge rubber strips on the bottom that are what hold them in place ... they work amazingly well not needing any other adhesion (at least on Timbertech boards). On the long runs I still added a bit of Gorilla tape just to be sure I didn't get a shift, but that was probably overkill.I bought the Makita bags to carry these, and protect them, and they work well. However, the ends are quite sharp and subject to impact denting - so I also 3D printed some end caps that I put on as well just for good measure (a variety of different ones are available on the various STL free sites). These end caps can also be purchased pre-made online if you search a bit. Combining these with the Makita (fit Festool as well apparently) plunge saw largely eliminates the need for my circular/table saw, and in my opinion is definitely a lot safer.

I'm admittedly a Makita fan boy, but their cordless track saw and guide rail setup is amazing. Both work great, cut super clean and straight as an arrow. The track sets up easily, just make sire your saw is zero'd out, and rip through the rubber edge guide before your first cut. After that it's smooth sailing. Can't wait to get some longer track to go with this one.

I paid $14 a piece for these on a freak sale. Excellent value at that price! This is a smaller track but effective for those smaller cuts for which the 55 or 108" are just much too long. Typically good Makita quality.

I recently bought the Makita SP6000J1 Track Saw. I added the 39" track after reading a couple of reviews for various brands of saw in which the reviewers commented that the shorter length track was the most used piece of track they owned. My experience has been similar. Having excess track hanging out at the ends presents a risk of knocking the track off the work or bench and likely ruining the work, track, and saw. Keeping it as short as practical reduces those risks. The Makita SP6000J1 Track Saw can be purchased with the 55" Track and that is what I did and recommend. I also bought a second 55" track so I can rip plywood. As other reviewers noted, having the 39" version is frequently handy for the shorter cuts; but, I also find it convenient for ripping stock that is less than 7 ft long by adding it to a 55" section to produce a 94" track facilitating an 84" cut. There is a lot of value in this line of product. I wish I'd purchased the track saw stuff a long time ago.
