These skewers are solid and don’t splinter easily, even when loading them up with heavier ingredients like meat and veggies. These bamboo skewers are consistently-sized, smooth and come to a nice sharp point. They’re thin and will work perfectly for me. I’m sure I’ll find other uses for them as times goes on, but my immediate plan is to use them in making a hole for my wicks to thread through in silicone molds.

I got these 16-inch Makerstep bamboo skewers for creating gift baskets, and they worked well for my purpose. I used them to prop up items and add height to the arrangement, which made the basket look much more organized and visually appealing. They’re a good length for this kind of work, allowing plenty of flexibility in placement and design.However, while they’re not weak, they don’t feel particularly sturdy either. If you’re careful, they’ll hold up fine, but applying too much pressure could cause them to splinter or snap. This wasn’t a major issue for me since I was only using them for light crafting, but I wouldn’t recommend them for tasks that require a lot of strength or durability.The pack comes with 100 skewers, which is more than enough for multiple projects. The smooth finish is a nice touch—it makes them easy to handle and avoids the risk of splinters while working. For my gift basket, I attached items to the skewers using double-sided tape, and it held everything in place well enough for a temporary setup.Overall, these skewers are a versatile and affordable option for light-duty projects, whether you’re crafting, decorating, or even grilling. This is a no-surprises item. It's a big bag of short bamboo skewers you can use on the grill or in the oven. I already have some long metal skewers, but I don't use them often since they monopolize space and limit placement options in my grill. It's nice to have these six inch items so you can move bits of meat and vegetables around the grill into different hot or cool spots, all without having this long tail of a big skewer getting in the way of anything else you've got going on.They're the right kind of thickness for beef cubes and there's no flex in them at all; these aren't going to snap apart under the weight and can survive scorching flames during a grease flare up. The tips are sharp and the bamboo is "clean" - no funky smells or tastes. They'll survive rounds in the dishwasher too. The plastic bag it comes in will hold up in your kitchen drawer or wherever else you store these.

The skewers come in a box with a resealable bag that works. I like that because you are going to use these with food. The skewers are really strong. You won't break them putting on steak pieces. They are also exceptionally smooth; I wanted that to avoid any chance of a splinter getting in my food. Worked great on the grill. Glad I got them.

I used these skewers to make yakitori. I made the rookie mistake of soaking these overnight, and the tip became a little too soft and broke when trying to pierce through rubbery chicken skin. When I used fresh, unsoaked skewers, it went through just fine. The skewers are nice and thick and hold onto the chicken very well without the chicken spinning around like crazy. Neither the soaked or unsoaked skewers burned on my yakitori grill. Overall, I had a very positive experience with these skewers.

WoW! These are awesome bamboo Skewers!I make it a point to purchase Natural Materials since they are 100% Biodegradable; not contributing to Pollution in our Oceans or on our Land.I use Skewers daily for gentle stirring and cooking. I use a couple together like a quick gentle whisk that cleans up in seconds to be used over and over again until they go off to the fire starter pile.I especially like the sturdiness of these Skewers; they are thicker than the Store Brand with no splinters hanging off.
