Compatible with all Chevrolet GM LS & LT Series Engines 1998-Current (GEN. 3 4 5 small block chevy) Also compatible with Engines that use a M16x2.0 threaded Crank Bolt. Simply thread this tool fully into the crank then tighten the nut until the harmonic balancer is into position. Please remember to apply some oil to the threads before using. Comes with 1ea high grade M16-2.0 threaded stud with wrench flats, 2ea washers, 1ea thrust bearing, 1ea extended length nut, and end cap hanger. The Hander makes it easy to hand on your wall or pegboard. It also keeps all of the items on the stud so they do not slide off in your tool box etc. This tool is machined in the USA From Foreign and Domestic hardware.

Fits 2008 GMC Sierra 5.3 Vortec. Perfect tool for the task. Threaded stud was long enough to bottom out in crankshaft. Ball bearing allowed smooth turning. Did apply motor oil to nut threads. Installed balancer easily with 1/2" drive ratchet.

This is a well made tool with good quality threads and plenty of thread engagement. This will help keep your crankshaft in good shape. GM used a somewhat odd size for this (as far as metric hardware is concerned) so you won't be able to make this yourself with a long hardware store bolt or piece of all-thread. Save yourself the grief and just buy it. Your local auto parts stores won't have this on hand, so you might as well add it to your Amazon cart right now...

Glad that nut was same hex size as LS balancer bolt hex. Thrust bearing makes tool work easily. Nicely machined 12MM hex on shaft. Would have paid extra for 10MM hex (same as LS water pump, timing cover and oil pan bolts). Should have Z Whip name on nice tool like this!
