These locking carabiners seem to be well constructed. The locking thread works smoothly and I feel safe using these while climbing into my stands.

While I initially bought this UIAA-certified carabiner for climbing, I've found an unexpected but perfect use for it in my daily work. Instead of scaling rock faces, this 25kN-rated powerhouse now securely holds my ANC headphones in my tractor and excavator. The knurled nut makes it a breeze to attach and detach with work gloves on, and its lightweight aluminum construction (just 59 grams) doesn't add unnecessary bulk. The D-shaped design and generous 0.67-inch gate opening allow for easy one-handed operation, even in the confines of my cab. It's a small but significant upgrade to my workday comfort, proving that sometimes the best gear finds unconventional uses.

While I'm no expert on climbing gear, I did check and these are in fact UIAA certified carabiners. Granted it's not the big name brand carabiner but non the less should still work when you need it to. As long as you're using these for their intended purpose, I don't see any reason why they wouldn't work great. The overall construction and appearance seems exactly as good as much higher priced carabiners. So far, I've only really used these for hunting out of a saddle harness and never had an issue with them. For that intended purpose I think they're great. As far as climbing goes, just use your best judgement when your life is reliant on your gear. Stay away from the cheap stuff that isn't at least UIAA certified.

I saw these and picked them up to replace some older, clunkier carabiners I have on my hunting harness. These are much more modern and easy to use. The working load on them at 5600lbs is well more than I'll ever have them used for. I do want to test them for speed run carabiners for dropping some limbs of a tree, though that will wait until next year. By their rating, they should hold up to pretty much anything I can throw at them. For my hunting gear, they're overkill. Better way too much than not enough. I have nothing bad to say about them as they work fantastic and are light as can be. To be completely honest, I'm really curious for their weight rating how they're being sold for as low a price as they are.

What's in a locking carabiner? Only your life, bro. PPE, whether for work or for play, is the one place you don't want to skimp. You get the absolute best you can afford while still being able to accomplish the mission.Which brings us to these locking g carabiner from JRSGS. I'm not going to go through the tech specs; those are listed in the product description and on the back of the box in the photo above. Suffice to say that you get two attractively (if not standardly) designed, attractively priced carabiner. The action on the gates moves smoothly. The screw locks screw smoothly. They function very well as designed. And that is maybe the only fault I find. They are designed so that the interior top part of the screw lock does not sit flush against the frame when locked I to place. You can see what I mean in photos 4 and 6 above. Now, should this affect the operation of this 'biner? No. You don't climb on or run a rope over the gate. And yet, it doesn't mean a rope can't end up there. Would it snag here? I don't know. I do know that I wouldn't want to find out 70 feet above the ground. So for me, I think these are good carabiners for setting static lines or anchors where I'm not expecting a lot of rope or webbing movement. Good build, great price, solid deal.
